Surely you’ve heard about the Pagani Zonda – the Italian ultra-supercar a step above Ferrari and Lamborghini’s finest machines. Pagani decided that the regular Zonda wasn’t crazy or exclusive enough, and created the Zonda Cinque – an ultra-rare supercar made with no compromises, of which only five will ever be made. And of course they’re spoken for.
Pagani decided that their roadcar model range “would not be complete without a Roadster version of the Zonda Cinque.” Of course not. The Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster sports the same 678 hp Mercedes-sourced V12 engine found in the Cinque Coupe, which will propel you from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds and only takes 6.2 more seconds to hit 124 mph.
The Roadster, just like the Cinque Coupe, uses Pagani’s proprietary carbon-titanium fiber, which is stronger and lighter than regular old carbon fiber. The chassis has been redesigned to keep structural integrity in the drop-top, and all weight reduction techniques have been used to keep the Roadster light. The adjustable suspension and multi-mode sequential gearbox give the Zonda Cinque Roadster “every day driveability.” Yeah right.
Again, only five of the Zonda Cinque Roadsters will be made, and will cost 1.3 million Euros, which right now is about $1.8 million USD. If you have the money, I suppose it’s a small price to pay to have one of these five beasts in your garage.
