Maserati
Besides being known for our favorite lunch meat, Bologna, Italy, is also the home of one of the world’s most iconic luxury sports cars, the Maserati. Initially founded by the five Maserati brothers in 1926, the Fiat Group currently owns Maserati.
Maserati first began producing race cars with 2, 4, 6, 8, and even a 16 cylinder engine, which consisted of two straight-eights mounted parallel to each other. Maserati is the only Italian manufacturer to ever win back to back Indianapolis 500 races, which they did in 1939 and 1940.
Current Maserati vehicles include the Quattroporte, Ghibli, GranTurismo, GranCabrio, Levante, MC20, and the Alfieri.
