Citroen
Citroen is a French automobile manufacturer founded in 1919 and later became part of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group. The company is well known for many of its technological breakthroughs, including the world’s first mass-produced front-wheel drive architecture, one of the first vehicles to feature a unibody construction, and one of the first mass-produced vehicles to feature disk brakes.
In 1999, Citroen was recognized in the Car of the Century awards behind the Ford Model T and the BMC Mini. The company has also produced three winners of the 50-year-old European Car of the Year award along with several second and third place finishes.
