The Chevrolet Spark is a subcompact city car produced by GM Korea, a subsidiary of General Motors. Originally called the Daewoo Matiz, the Spark debuted in 1998 manufactured by Daewoo Motors. After GM Korea took control of Daewoo in 2002, the Spark was marketed under the Chevrolet Badge. The Spark is manufactured worldwide and marketed as a compact, economical city car.
