More like turns to dust it would seem.
Damn, these things are barely out on the streets and we already have a wrecked count of five, according to WreckedExotics. The brand-spanking-new Ferrari 458 Italia replaces the company’s F430 supercar and features a 4.5-liter mid-mounted V8 engine producing 560 horsepower. The car costs upwards of $250,000, gets from zero to 60 mph in only 3.3 seconds, and hits a top speed of 202 mph.
Surprisingly, it does seem like the driver of this one was at fault. According to claims, he was driving a mountain pass in France when the driver noticed the engine caught fire. A passerby grabbed a fire extinguisher to put out the flames, but not before the car was burnt to a crisp.
