200 exhibitors from 30 countries are gathered in the Swiss city, nestled between the Alps and Jura Mountains. I’ve never had a chance to visit Geneva but I’m told it’s a wonderful place to see.
This year, 120 world and European premieres happened in the motor cars, special bodywork, and converted cars sections alone. Other premieres have taken place in the accessories, OEM, and workshop installations sections too.
A Car of the Year award is decided upon by 58 journalists from 22 countries. The tradition began in 1964 with seven European magazines from seven countries: Germany (Stern), Italy (Auto), France (L’Automobile), Spain (Autopista), United Kingdom (Autocar), The Netherlands (Autovisie), and Sweden (Vi Bilägare).
In addition, the Advertising and Communication Club of Geneva will present the 13th Creativity Award to the exhibitor with the best looking area, most dynamic vehicle presentation, and highest foot traffic. Based on the photos below, it would be hard to pick a winner in either category!
