Automobili Lamborghini recently unveiled the Aventador Miura Homage, in honor of the infamous Miura. Considered one of the most timeless in the company’s history, the Miura celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Fittingly, just 50 Aventador Miura Homage cars will be produced – not surprisingly, the majority have already been sold.
Lamborghini’s Ad Personam studio designed the Aventador Miura Homage to convey the original Miura’s personality. The single color upper body, for example, is contrasted by a rich tone in the lower portion. Another Miura characteristic comes in the way of 20”/21” Dione rims in either matt silver or gold.
A metallic Miura badge is displayed on the side with a black Lamborghini logo in the rear.
The original Miura offered a variety of colors, some of which have returned for the Aventador Miura Homage.
A special plate nicely identifies the Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage, along with a Mirua 50th anniversary logo stitched into the seats. The cockpit comes in Nero Ade or Terra Emilia leather with tone-on-tone stitching and carbon fiber.
The Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage runs a 6.5 L V12, producing 700 horsepower at 8,250 rpm with 508 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm. The super car hits 60 in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 217.
The Aventador Miura Homage is part of Automobili Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary Miura celebrations. The car is on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom this weekend. Personally, we would like to see this Lamborghini take on the Nissan GT-R and believe it would be an interesting race around the track.
Recently, we published a graphic showing the evolution of 5 elite performance cars, the Lamborghini Miura being one of them.
