912 hp Porsche Carrera GT - by 9ff

German tuner 9ff plans to modify the Porsche Carrera GT to push out over 900 hp by the use of twin-turbos as well as other methods listed below. This will put the Carrera GT in Bugatti Veyron range, but will not quite hit it’s numbers in terms of power. It does however weigh much less than the Veyron (3043 lbs. opposed to 4162 lbs. for the Veyron,) so performance numbers could theoretically be better than the Bugatti.

As far as styling goes, the concept shown doesn’t really do much for me. It certainly doesn’t proclaim it has 912 horsepower. A quick list of enhancements include a sound-adjustable full exhaust system, (minimal) aerodynamic styling, twin-turbos, upgraded exhaust manifolds and camshafts, new air intake, ECU upgrade, and 19″ wheels.

For the performance, TechArt has included a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system and a modified intake system which increases the power output to 635hp. Continue Reading…

TechArt GTsport - Porsche Cayman S

TechArt’s newest creation is a tuned Porsche Cayman S called the GTsport. Costing $146,900, TechArt bored out the Porsche boxer-six engine to 3.8 liters, added new cams, a modified exhaust, and a new intake, creating 385 hp.

On the suspension side, they added their own Formula five-spoke 20″ billet wheels and an electronically-controlled coil-over suspension kit, while dropping the car an inch. As a result, the Porsche can now jump from a standstill to 60 mph in a mere 4.6 seconds, and can hit a top speed of 178 mph.
