After a brief shutdown, carmaker Marcos is back with what looks a little bit too much like a TVR. The 2007 Marcos TSO GTC was unveiled today at the Salon Prive private Luxury and Supercar Show in Britain. Estimated to cost between $80,000 and $90,000, it shows off an excellent power-to-weight ratio, allowing the R/T (optional performance package) to reach 60 mph from a standstill in only 4.1 seconds, hit 100 mph only 4.4 seconds later, and top off at over 185 mph.
Here is a video of Top Gear driving the Marcos GT2; an older version of the car:
Powering the GTC is a 420 hp all aluminum V8 with a six-speed manual transmission, and the optional high-performance R/T has a 462 hp engine. It looks like a great car, with a reasonable price, but what worries me is that it may be lacking in personality. I guess we’ll see. More pictures after the jump.
