And honestly, what’s better than gorgeous women and beautiful cars in the same place? Umm…nothing comes to mind…

Coinciding with the first generation Chevrolet Camaro, the SEMA Show was launched in the late 1960s as a modest showcase of the best automotive performance and modification technology. As the SEMA Show has exploded to a multi-day trade exhibition, American performance cars like the Camaro have been given a place to shine in an environment largely shielded from pressing real world transportation scenarios.

With the legend of the Camaro returning after an extended hiatus in 2009, a brand new generation of General Motors pony cars brings the best of American motoring with the innovations of the 21st century. Acting like a long-running honeymoon, Chevrolet continues to celebrate the new Camaro two years after its reintroduction with five new SEMA Show concept cars.

Camaro Synergy Series Concept

Taking over the personality of the RS and SS package, the Synergy version of the Chevrolet Camaro combines an ample amount of flash with dash. Presented with a Silver Ice exterior complemented with black accent trim, the Camaro Synergy Series Concept receives outer enhancements care of Chevrolet Accessories with body colour ground effects and 21-inch wheels. Synergy decals are worn on the Chevrolet Camaro sitting closer to the ground thanks to a Pedders lowering suspension. Black leather seating with red secondary colouring, the Camaro Synergy Series Concept’s interior scheme is rich with Chevrolet Accessories charm including specialized floor mats, lighting and pedal kit. Stitched in red thread, the Hurst short-throw shifter is a centerpiece in the Camaro Synergy’s cabin.

Chevrolet hints that favourable reception of the Camaro Synergy Series Concept at SEMA could make it onto a production car.

Camaro 1LE Concept

Everybody in the land of Camaro is waiting for the ZL1 with many knowing the 580-horsepower super pony car could be out of reach. Pricing and production is guaranteed to keep many admirers at bay from the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. In the Camaro 1LE Concept, Chevrolet has taken steps to create a non-ZL1 using many of the specialized components of the top 2012 production Camaro. A Victory Red vehicle with flat black hood and front fender markings, satin black details highlights the rear spoiler, front splitter and rocker panels. Another exterior enhancements employed on the Camaro 1LE Concept includes the ZL1 inspired active exhaust and rear diffuser assembly. Riding on the same Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires as the Camaro ZL1 over Chevrolet officially licensed Brembo braking system, 20-inch lightweight wheels complete the aggressive outer coupe for the customized Camaro coupe. Mechanically enhanced with electric power steering, a close-ratio six-speed manual and the General Motors Magnetic Ride Control suspension system, the 1LE Concept edition of the pony car possesses a similar track manner as the Camaro ZL1.

Upcoming to 45th years of delighting automotive enthusiasts young and old with an affordable, detailed version of favourite vehicles, Hot Wheels original release of 16 cars included a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. The full-sized modern Camaro SS invokes the look of the classic die-cast car that includes Hot Wheels famous Red-line wheels.

Named the Hottest Car at the 2010 SEMA Awards, the Chevrolet Camaro’s 2011 line-up at the Las Vegas show reflects some of the best efforts to defend an important auto exhibition honour.

Producing styling accessories across many automotive brands including Chevrolet, Lexus and Volkswagen, 3dCarbon works some stylistic magic on the 2012 Ford Focus compact car ahead of the upcoming SEMA Show. The 2012 Ford Focus by 3D Carbon exterior appearance is credited to 3M satin wrap, Sticky Fingers red racing stripes along with the customizer’s own body kit and roof spoiler. 2012 Ford Focus by ROUSH Performance Products

Created by the street performance arm of Roush Industries, the 2012 Stage 3 Focus receives a considerable emphasis on performance. In their SEMA show car version of the new Ford Focus, Steeda has created a red and black piece designed by road as well as the track. Having found success in the quarters of closed road circuits and the expense of the open road in the 1990s with the McLaren F1, it is clear to McLaren the winning formula for the MP4-12C is to unleash a true athletic version for sports car racing. Preparing for competition with supercar rivals including Lamborghini Gallardo and the Aston Martin DBRS9, the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 car plans to reseat the British performance house as the perennial favourite in sports car competition.

Upon announcing plans on going sports car racing Mark Vinnels, McLaren Automotive’s Program Director stated, “It was an obvious decision to take the 12C racing. From the early stages in the car’s development we were integrating key members of McLaren Racing into the road car development team and this blend of experience and skill, combined with a ‘can-do’ attitude and desire to push what is technically possible, has led to both a great road car and a unique racing car.”

Formulating McLaren GT in conjunction with British motorsport team CRS Racing, the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 car metamorphosis into a competition car is under supervision by Team Principal at CRS Racing and McLaren GT Project Manager Andrew Kirkaldy. “CRS Racing is delighted to be working with McLaren. The expectations are high and rightly so. Together we share the passion for design, engineering innovation and racing success that will ensure the 12C GT3 is the most competitive in the series from 2012.”

Planning to roll out the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 in select events for 2011, McLaren GT is referring to this season’s activities as the development stage. Involving, of course, Formula 1 technology utilized by McLaren’s top-flight grand prix team will be playing an important role in advancing the McLaren GT team’s learning curve. McLaren GT’s Project Manager Kirkaldy boasts about the success of lab-based testing after the race car’s first field test. “The performance of the car in Navarra was testament to the work we were able to do in the McLaren simulator in selecting the right set-up for the car. The virtual and real world versions of the 12C GT3 felt near-identical.”

The simple beauty of the McLaren MP4-12C supercar is romantically fitted for auto racing. Built around the same MonoCell chassis as the street version, the GT3 version of the McLaren MP4-12C utilizes the lightweight but enduring construction produced through Resin Transfer Molding. Doors to the race-purpose, driver-oriented interior proceeds to rise in the same majestic style as the exotic production car. With only minor aerodynamic additions under the GT3 category rules, the race-fitted MP4-12C exterior has been modified with exclusive carbon fiber pieces. A front splitter underneath special front fender louvers, rear diffuser and door blade are all unique touches to the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 car.

The Total 24 hours of Spa is also indicated as part of the McLaren GT development program. Team Project Manager Kirkaldy looks forward to the work in 2011 paying dividends for 2012. “We want to make doing business with us a pleasure. If we can celebrate race wins together in spring 2012 then even better!” After the 2011 development period, a full campaign for the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 begins in 2012 as the car enters the FIA GT3 series or the Blancpain Endurance series full-time. McLaren will supply 20 cars for customer teams for the 2012 FIA GT3 series season with an additional 20 planned through to 2014. McLaren also mentioned they are willing to consider expanding the program.

Once the McLaren MP4-12C enters competition, it will be interesting to note the new British supercar is likely to face McLaren’s one-time ally. Entered into competition this year, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is actively competing on the FIA GT3 circuit. In 2012, we can see the partners turned rivals fight for glory with their, modern, desirable sports cars.

To our eyes, there isn’t much more beautiful automobiles in the world than those currently produced by Aston Martin. British luxury and performance and luxury at its finest; new cars from the company have positioned Aston Martin at the top of the automotive heap once again. It’s (almost) enough to make us forget about the atrocity that is the Cygnet.

The company’s “VH” aluminum chassis architecture has spawned many model variants, and the Virage is the latest in that succession. The car was first shown off ahead of the Geneva Auto Show in February. The Virage comes looking like a two-door version of the Rapide, and that means a sleeker and more elegant look than that of the DB9 and DBS. Count us as fans.

Motivated by the new Pentastar V-6 (Chrysler’s high-technology, high-powered engine), the 2011 Chrysler products are showing as much bark as bite. Taking civilized bites, the 2011 Chrysler brand lineup launches their new 300 sedan flagship with contemporary sense of premium construction.

While the 2011 Chrysler 300 is a charming collection of minor design tweaks in reality, the entire package creates a refreshing, new full-sized car. Body lines have been carefully massaged all around the new Chrysler 300 with the front end being the first area receiving attention with a side contour line running from the front wheel housing to the tail end express exterior details going most noticed. Decorated with a liberal use of chrome accents adapt 300′s look to reflect a sense of classic American motoring elegance.

A sign of a new dimension of Subaru design, the Impreza Concept’s exterior is quite a defining sculpture constructed with remarkable simplicity. Little less than an inch longer in wheelbase, the Impreza Concept is considerably lower than the existing Subaru Impreza. This concept sedan by Subaru is even 1.8 inches shorter in overall height than a 2011 Impreza WRX. On the Impreza Concept, Subaru has stretched the concept car’s roof front A-pillar and rear C-pillar to not only cast a more sporty, aerodynamic look but to improve interior space.

In regards to the Subaru Impreza concept’s cabin, seating is provided comfortably for four occupants on premium leather. Stylishly surrounded by blue piping and stitching, the Impreza Concept interior flow is focused upwards at a very luminescent dash panel. A multi-function center touchscreen controlling audio, navigation as well as vehicle information. The steering wheel integrates touch screen interfaces for what Subaru recognizes as stress-free use. Subaru’s advanced safety system aid called Eyesight uses sensors to alert driver of a collision or potential slow down the vehicle itself. Video through Eyesight Stereo Camera is provided via an in-dash monitor.

Spotlighting a radical, new design, the Subaru Impreza Concept conceals a differing drivetrain from the current production Impreza. A normally aspirated, Boxer-style engine is found under the elegant hood. Fascinating enough only 2 liters in displacement, this flat-four powerplant is 0.5 liters smaller than the United States market’s base engine. Horsepower and other engine vitals were not revealed at the premiere of the potential Subaru. Mated with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), this Subaru Impreza Concept appears to be making a dedicated effort to supply peak fuel mileage. Despite the compact four-door concept car’s innovations, certain traditions continue to be upheld on the Subaru Impreza Concept sedan. Symmetrical all-wheel drive moves the 19 inch Subaru Impreza Concept’s aluminum rims.

Promoting a potentially new brand identity for future Subaru vehicles, we should not be surprised if the next production-based Subaru Impreza will strictly adhere to the framework of this concept vehicle.

As was stated with Toyota’s partnership with Tesla formed earlier this year, there was going to be a mutual benefit to the furthering of electric vehicles. As Tesla Motors received much-needed finances and use of the former NUMMI plant in California, Toyota would obtain the upstart electric auto company’s applied expertise in electric powertrain manufacturing. Unveiled at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, the electric version of the Toyota RAV4 is officially given a once-over first by journalists and later by auto show spectators. Presenting 1 of 35 demonstrated models of the RAV4 EV which is admittedly retrofitted with an electric powertrain, Toyota has defined this prototype vehicle part of “Phase Zero”. President of Toyota Motors Sales USA Jim Lentz affirmed that continuing development of the Phase Zero RAV4 EVs will lead to enhancements to a 2012 production version.

The small sport utility vehicle will be built similar to fuel-burning RAV4 models at the Woodstock, Ontario, Canada plant. Small adjusts to the interior and exterior are performed to differentiate Toyota RAV4 EV from conventional RAV4 models. A new front end fascia involves a smaller grille opening (a customary design move since the cooling needs of an electric vehicle is far less than one powered by an internal combustion engine). Specialized EV badging and exterior paint colour described as ‘mutually exclusive’ are also found on this Toyota RAV4 EV. Interior enhancement for the RAV4 EV features special seating, multimedia dash and a push-button gear shifter.

RAV4 products destined for the EV treatment will be sent from Woodstock (absent powertrain components) to Tesla’s Palo Alto, California facility. In the Tesla plant, a battery, electrical motor and hardware will be installed to complete the 2012 Toyota RAV4 EV. Full technical specifications are yet to be determined for the production vehicle but the RAV4 EV will run for between 80-110 miles on a charge which can be facilitated from a 220-volt household charger.

Pricing details for the 2012 Toyota RAV4 EV are yet to be announced but Toyota USA president Lentz commented that the auto company will do everything possible to make it reasonable. “Providing a compelling product is one thing. Creating an attractive value proposition is another.” Lentz said in the press conference in Los Angeles.

A highly-public champion for the usage of electrical powertrains, Toyota’s first charged-up the North American marketplace with the Prius. Now, with almost 10 years of sales in United States, the Toyota Prius and its Hybrid Synergy Drive has bred 6 other current Toyota and Lexus products using a hybrid power. On-deck for the Prius is a plug-in hybrid version planned for sales within a year.

Before Toyota Prius roamed the American streets and the dreams of environmentalists, the Toyota RAV4 was in fact an early test bed for all-electric vehicle power. In 1997, a first generation Toyota RAV4 EV was built created as an auto industry-wide attempt to pay lip service to California ill-fated and poorly-backed initiative to have 10 percent of their state’s vehicles run on electric propulsion by the year 2000. Incredibly, 746 of these first-gen RAV4 electrics remain in existence as road-worthy vehicles.

Toyota’s respect for their early electric vehicle is unlike the practice of now green car corporate stumpers General Motors and Honda. Leasing their vehicles at the time as the first Toyota RAV4′s sales, once the California state law was abolished, both companies made a legal decision to viciously destroy much of the practical evidence relating to their early electric car work.

In little more than a year, the reaction to the 2012 Toyota RAV4 EV will determine if the Toyota/Tesla pairing flatters each other with a mutual attractiveness as a proton and electron.

With celebrations set next year commemorating 25 years since BMW ingeniously outfitted their 3-Series with the performance gifts of M-line modifications, the modern BMW M3 has radiated Bavarian brute. Motivated by a 414 horsepower V-8 engine in 2011, the BMW M3 performance stature and shear elegance makes the under $70,000 ‘ultimate driving machine’ enviable even compared to vehicles north of six-figure price tags. Seen as a bargain through that realization, the BMW M3 is still out of reach for too many BMW lovers. Fortunately, aftermarket company Prior Design has devised an appearance package which will make even a base BMW 3-Series E92 masquerade as a cherished M3.

Tailored off of the BMW M3 GT2 sports car, Prior Design exterior enhancements replicates the wide-body stance. Made out of Duraplex (a resistant acrylic material), The body kit’s first noticeable trait extends fender flaring around the wheels created by a series of mudguards adding a few centimeters to the BMW 3-Series stock width. Another major aesthetic piece is the replica M3 GT2 hood completed with similar intake placements.

Assembling the look of the factory BMW M3, front and rear bumper/fascia pieces leaves a project 3-Series glimmering with a rich race-bred persona. Side skirting, front spoiler lip, rear diffuser along with a rear deck and roof spoiler concludes to modifications brought to the BMW 3-Series thanks to the Prior Design body kit.

Away from just skin-deep enhancements, Prior Design has met their M3 clone body kit package with a stainless steel exhaust system. Able to be fitted to all 3-Series excluding 335i models, the four-tailpipe setup pays respect to the BMW M3. Prior Design met with Kamp-Lintfort to provide a KW suspension lowering kit to their BMW M3 replica.

Upon purchasing the BMW E92 3-Series, Prior Design body modifications is priced at 5,436 Euros (just under $7,400 converted into American dollars) not including painting and labour. The exhaust system adds another 1,499 Euros to the cost. Missing out on the BMW M3′s 8-cylinder powerplant, the look-a-like vehicle by Prior Design costs a fraction the retail price for a genuine, new M3 car.

Some purest of the German super sports car are ready to take exception to this M3 replica. To the defense of Prior Design, they freely admits their 3-Series body kit creates a clone of the BMW M3. While nothing compares to an original, the Prior Design BMW 3-Series upgrades could be considered an original in its own rights.

What would the annual SEMA Show be without a bunch of beautiful women showing off the new products and cars? A pretty lame SEMA Show, that’s what.

This year’s show was no exception – nearly every other booth had models for the products, some of which were even well-known models, signing posters and magazines, and taking pictures with the gawking men at the show. Seeing as how I’m male, I, of course, was no exception. You won’t find me in any of these pictures though, just the beautiful women of SEMA, second only at the show to the cars (and some would argue with that.)

Sending 12 customized Honda CR-Z to the SEMA Show in 2010, it was difficult to give credit to the individual craftsmanship and construction in just one article. In this second part, attention will be paid to the cars furnished with non-OEM partners. Aftermarket performance companies and even an eyewear provider provides 6 additional design interpretations on this exciting new gas/electric hybrid.

Bisimoto Engineering 2011 CR-Z

In the stock Honda CR-Z, 122 horsepower promises a reasonably peppy performance for the small hybrid. Bisimoto Engineering isn’t a big fan of stock engine pep. Seeing opportunity, the Ontario, California tuner company showed off their 533 horsepower 2011 CR-Z SEMA Show car. Specially built for the Bisimoto Engineering Honda CR-Z, the 1.5 liter engine contains an assorted compilation of performance parts. With a series of tweaks conducted through in-house modifications by Bisimoto, other power optimizing products includes Supertech valves and K&N oil filter. However, the majority of this CR-Z hybrid’s horsepower output is owed to a Turbonetics Billet turbocharger and intercooler.

On the outside, a carbon fiber rear hatch and wing, 18-inch white painted Bisimoto-Savini wheels along with jazzy racing graphics enhances this Bisimoto Engineering project car.

DSO Eyewear 2011 CR-Z Sport Hybrid Tuner

A producer of premium designer sunglasses as well as goggles, DSO Eyewear’s experimentation with the Honda CR-Z starts by draping a two-tone paint scheme comprising of storm silver and pearl white. Adding details of carbon fiber and meshing along the front along with the rear, the DSO Eyewear 2011 CR-Z Sport Hybrid Tuner is a sensational-looking daytime sight. At night, HID headlamps shine bright blue on the low setting with extreme white bulbs present for high beam lighting. The inside of the DSO Eyewear 2011 CR-Z Sport Hybrid Tuner is high-quality with suede and Katzkin leather worn in a Midnight Tuscany and silver.

When considering that a Honda CR-Z is being constructed under the guidance of a eyewear company, some might believe performance upgrades would not be featured modifications. In fact, Gran Turismo braking, performance sway bar as well as a HKS intake and stainless steel exhaust system shows otherwise.

Eibach Springs 2011 CR-Z

Choosing not to turn their Honda CR-Z into an all-out speed demon, Eibach Springs Incorporated decided to emphasize the gas/electric hybrid’s fuel efficiency in their project car.

Of course built on Eibach Pro Street-S coilover suspension, this 2011 CR-Z is mildly enhanced mechanically with a K&N intake and Magnaflow exhaust. Constructed using a full array of C-West body add-ons accented by a Mugen spoiler, the Eibach Springs team brilliantly painted the Honda CR-Z in red and black with a gold separating the colours. Inside, the Eibach Springs 2011 CR-Z cabin is outfitted with Sparco Fighter bucket seats, harnesses and steering wheel. A red roll bar is also featured prominently in the interior adding rigidity and safety to the hybrid hatchback.

Setting out to build a 100-plus mile daily driver, the Eibach Springs effort is also said to play in active part in event race weekends.

Fortune Motorsports Samurai Gold 2011 Honda CR-Z

Motivated in the creation of the “ultimate daily driver”, the Fortune Motorsports and Tjin Edition gave birth to this elegant custom. The 2011 Honda CR-Z is transformed with Dupont Samurai Gold paint on the outside and street rod gauges and seating inside. Riding on fully-digital air suspension and Falken Ziex tires, the Fortune Motorsports Samurai Gold 2011 Honda CR-Z

A busy SEMA Show for Tjin Edition, the company were also involved in the all-star collection of customized 2011 Ford Mustangs brought to Las Vegas. The employment of high-intensity discharge lighting, LED headlamps and a Webasto sunroof are clearly Tjin Edition touches passed onto the Fortune Motorsports Samurai Gold 2011 Honda CR-Z.

Konig Wheels 2011 CR-Z

Eagerly taking on the challenge for creating a vehicle “embracing an active lifestyle while living cleaner, the Konig Wheels 2011 CR-Z features evolutions in every aspect.

Playing on the ‘green’ theme literally, the Konig Wheels 2011 CR-Z is coated with a bright lime green paint scheme combining with some black striping along the side panels. Riding on lightweight Konig FRT Technology Wheels, Neuton tires and a Eibach lowering kit allows this design concept to gracefully roll. Unlike other CR-Z custom jobs, the Konig Wheels show car integrates another form of green transportation. The piggyback BMX bicycle rides top-mounted on a roof rack.

Continuing the trend of a fun-loving lifestyle inside, Kicker speakers, subwoofers and amplifer enhances the Alpine stereo head unit. Opening up the rear hatch, organization shoes, a cooler as well as skateboard are present for any daytime expedition.

Wraptivo 2011 CR-Z Type-F Concept

Said to be designed in the spirit and heritage of Honda, the Wraptivo 2011 CR-Z Type-F Concept uses a collection of aftermarket and Honda Genuine Accessories. Displaying Wraptivo’s product on the CR-Z, a stealth-like matte black and carbon fiber roof as well as hood portion is actually body wrapping, not paint. For further exterior work, side skirts and rear diffuser are supplied by Honda Genuine Accessories while the rear GT wing is made available from Rando/Tracy Sports. BF Goodrich g-force Super Sport tires surround red 18-inch Volk Racing G2 Wheels. The marriage of Honda accessories and aftermarket products continue inside of the Wraptivo show car design as red Recaro Sport bucket seating joins the Honda Genuine Accessories center arm rest and compass rearview mirror.

As sleek as the Wraptivo exterior skin, engine enhancements on this show car includes a HKS supercharger kit and a silent Hi-Power exhaust system.

Completing the 12-car arrangement of Honda CR-Z hybrids, project car of Honda Tuning Magazine and the upcoming LA Auto Show were also present at the Las Vegas SEMA Show.

What an incredibly gorgeous car this is. We spotted this car while visiting Foreign Cars Italia in Greensboro, NC to drive the 2010 Ferrari California. Sitting in the showroom…one glistening Ferrari 430 16M Scuderia (quite a mouthful) ready for a camera. Check out the gallery below.

The Ferrari 430 16M Scuderia, as you may have guessed, is the drop-top version of the 430 Scuderia – or the lightweight version of the F430 Spider, depending on how you look at it. Ferrari managed to get the weight in this car down to 3168 lbs – 176 lbs lighter than the F430 Spider – by thoroughly using carbon fiber throughout the entire car. Zero to 62 mph comes in only 3.7 seconds, up to a top speed of 196 – you might want to have the top up for that run, though. All that grunt is courtesy of Ferrari’s 4.3-liter V-8 producing 510 horsepower through a super-quick 6-speed paddle-shifting gearbox.

There are only 499 of the Ferrari 430 16M Scuderias made, each starting at about $308,000 – over $90,000 higher than the F430 Spider.

There crazy heels were designed by illustrator Tim Cooper, possibly to be sold by Tonino on behalf of Lamborghini. Click on the image for a high-res version.

These stilettos are incredibly gaudy, and as much as I love Lamborghini, I simply couldn’t take anyone seriously who is wearing these. Plus, I think the signature Superleggera orange or green finish would look much cooler, albeit less fashionable. Regardless, I’m sure if they do go on sale, they will sell out no matter what the price, which would surely be ridiculously expensive.

Opel Agila heels

Yes, these shoes do actually exist. Shoes for an enthusiast car like the Lambo is one thing, but an Opel Agila? Give me a break. Well, these shoes were created as a promotional campaign for the car, and I don’t believe they’re actually for sale. Not that they would sell anyway.

NASCAR-themed footwear

If you or your husband owns a set of Truck Nutz, you may want to look into this NASCAR footwear.

40 million women are NASCAR fans, which makes it easy to believe that 77% of women feel that their sprit and attitude can make them beautiful. NASCAR footwear celebrates your spirit, your attitude and your beauty in a fun and sexy way.

This pseudo-racing organization has now broken into women’s footwear, bikinis (don’t get that picture into your head,) leather jackets, and other merch for the 40 million women who somehow like this “sport.”

The lime green monstrosities you see above started with a list price of $200 (ha!) and are currently on sale at Amazon.com for $40. Probably a statement to how many of these they sell.
