The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is a very cool car. Mainly for a younger crowd, the Coupe gives us the quintessential sports-car layout: front-engine, rear-wheel-drive (FR,) on a lightweight, fun-to-drive platform for a measly $23,000 (starting price.) And what do nearly all import tuners do with an FR layout sports car? Well, they drop in a humongous LS1 V8 from a Corvette, of course.

We originally saw this car at the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas last November. And now it’s for sale – for only $45,000.

Mated to a Magnusun Roots Style Supercharger and T56 Manual Transmission (used in everything from a Dodge Viper to the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish,) this bad boy puts out somewhere around 560 hp to the wheels. Yes, that’s ridiculously fast.

Of course, more than just the engine and transmission were modified to achieve this sort of power. The builders, Enjuku Racing, also installed and replaced all sorts of internals, modified the suspension to BC Racing Coilovers, added a Quaife LSD, BC Racing Wheels, a Wilwood 14″ Front Big Brake Kit to slow all that momentum, SPEC Stage 1 Clutch & Flywheel, ISIS Performance Race Exhaust, Custom headers, Hurst Short shifter, Sparco racing seats, a Carbon Fiber body kit (including the hood, trunk, lip, and roof skin,) and plenty of other minor goodies to make the car safe to drive.

The parts total: $51,000 alone. You can buy the car without the supercharger, but why would you want to? Either way, Enjuku Racing will dyno and tune the car for you upon purchase.

The supercharger popping out the top looks pretty funny, but it sure does sound good.

Following last year’s reveal of the Invader TC-3 Prototype, Tanom Motors (if the name doesn’t sound familiar it’s because they used to be called Talon Motors) received plenty of feedback and decided to modify the Invader before bringing it into production. At this year’s SEMA Show, they unveiled the final production model – the Tanom Motors Invader TC-3.

The primary modifications done to the Invader include a longer and wider wheelbase, and a larger size overall.

Not changed is the Invader’s 194hp, 1,340 cc engine from a Suzuki Hayabusa mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. Doesn’t sound like much, but considering the car/bike/thing only weighs in at 1040 lbs, it’s enough to propel it from zero to 60 mph in under four seconds to a top speed of 150 mph. I’m curious to see what it’ll do around a track.

Inside, drivers get the typical sports car getup – two bucket racing seats, detachable steering wheel, three pedals, cup holders, glove box, and a few other things you’ll see in a car but not a super bike, and that’s the point. Three wheels – 20-inchers in the front and 18-inch in the rear, steer the car and are influenced by a fully adjustable suspension and four- and six-piston calipers on disc brakes all the way around.

Optional are chrome and carbon fiber packages (no specifics given there,) a rear spoiler, embroidered floor mats, and an upgraded Rockford Fosgate GPS/audio system. Fuel economy in the Invader TC-3 comes in at 28/35 mpg – respectable considering the performance.

Pricing isn’t official, but I remember overhearing something around the $50,000 mark at SEMA.

I know this is what you guys have been waiting for.

Every year, at the beginning of November, there is a plethora of…ahem…extremely attractive young women adorning the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center for the biggest aftermarket car show in the world – SEMA – showing off the latest and greatest car parts, accessories, and a metric crap-ton of highly modified supercars. And honestly, what’s better than gorgeous women and beautiful cars in the same place? Umm…nothing comes to mind…

So enough with the blabbering, I know what you came here for. Check out the photo gallery below – somehow, we managed to convince quite a few of these wonderful ladies to let us snap their pictures:

After getting into the 2011 SEMA Show in Vegas last week, you’d think you were walking into a Camaro convention. Outside in the public area, individual’s customized Camaros were littered across the lot. Many of the companies had Camaros as show cars, and inside, you could be anywhere on the floor and have at least one Camaro within view somewhere.

It’s no surprise, then, that the Chevy Camaro won “SEMA’s Hottest Car” for the second year in a row. Chevy themselves had at least six new Camaros to show off, including the COPO Camaro – a concept drag-prepped Camaro – the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept – a full-scale interpretation of a Hot Wheels toy – Camaro Red Zone – showing the new-for-2012 Crystal Claret exterior color – the Camaro Synergy Series Concept – a new concept in their “Synergy” line with a silver exterior and red accents – the Camaro 1LE Concept – a concept idea similar to the Corvette Grand Sport, borrowing components from the Camaro SS and upcoming Camaro ZL1 – and my favorite, the Camaro ZL1 Carbon Concept – a special version of the Camaro ZL1 with plenty of carbon fiber added for that extra-special flair of sexiness:

My overall favorite Camaro of the show, however, was sitting outside. Called the 1968/2010 Camaro SS AWD (yes, as in all-wheel-drive,) this car is literally the front of a 1968 Camaro seamlessly combined with the rear of a 2010 Camaro, and the roof chopped off. The AWD powertrain comes from a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer SS, and the motor is a 376 crate motor with an added Procharger pushing 20lbs of boost, capable of a ground-scorching 800 hp. Yeah…

I got pictures of most of the Camaros at the show (it would be nearly impossible to get them all.) Since we didn’t have a photographer this year, the pictures you see below are just me with my point-and-shoot, which explains the glare, blur, poor photo composition, and everything else that comes with a crappy photographer with a point-and-shoot. When the 2012 Honda Civic design debuted at Detroit’s North American International Auto Show, a portion of the ninth-generation’s car crowd could possibly be heard yawning to what they deemed more of a mild redesign. The underwhelming styling has apparently cut into the reputation for the new Civic regardless to the fact there is no indications core Honda aspirations of quality and value is unaffected. Perhaps caught off-guard by the rush of considerable advancement of competitor’s compact cars, the 2012 Honda Civic’s debut might not have been the thriller the Japanese auto brand is seeking.

While there will be no shortage of loyal Civic buyers eventually upgrading to the ninth-generation car, others left under-stimulated by the new compact vehicle will find the three creations based on the 2012 Honda Civic a reason for exhilaration.

Bisimoto 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe

A modified sport compact theme designated as a straight-liner performer, the Bisimoto 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe is maxed out with four-figure horsepower.

The Civic Si edition’s K2427 engine undergoes a drastic retuning by Bisimoto to unleash deep, hidden potential few would expect from an economy car. Arias forged pistons, Supertech valvetrain, NGK Iridium spark plugs and a Golden Eagle intake manifold are some of the mild engine enhancements beefing up the Civic Si Coupe’s 2.4 liter engine for what will be new heights in Honda performance. Supplied by Turbonetics, the Bisimoto 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe is jarred by an extreme turbocharger and intercooler kit. Requiring racing fuel to run at optimum performance, horsepower for this Bisimoto version of the Honda Civic is estimated in the range of at least 1,004 horsepower. Somewhat surprisingly, the Bisimoto 2012 Honda Civic Si is advertised as street legal.

Wearing a Gatorwrap custom body wrap with Type 2 graphics, Bisimoto adds exterior body improvements to the 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe available through their Extreme Dimensions collection. Eins Gramm 18-inch aluminum wheels on high performance Falken tires allow the 1000-plus horsepower Bisimoto 2012 Honda Civic Si Couple and its race-spec chassis to sail across pavement. A Steen roll cage shields the car’s interior featuring Buddy Club P1 racing seats.

Honda 2012 Civic Si Coupe HFP

Presented at the 2011 SEMA Show, Honda has made it easier for racers to prove the seemingly shy 2012 Civic does have the soul for demonstrating performance-oriented driving. The first of what will be only 500 United States-bound street worthy kits available for 2012 Civic Si Coupes, auto racing play a part in a factory-backed equipment grouping.

Developed by Honda Performance Development (HPD), the Honda Factory Performance (HFP) limited edition kit is a most comprehensive assortment of race-ready pieces. Starting with a full HFP body kit engineered for superior aerodynamics, the exterior pieces come in one of seven body matching colours. The entire HPD Civic Si Coupe is 15 millimeters (0.59 inches) lower in overall ride as high-performance springs and dampers is designed to provide well-suited handling as well as balance. The HFP edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe rides on 18-inch HFP alloy wheels. HFP emblems are included on the HPD 2012 Civic Si Coupe is carpeted floor mats illuminated by red ambient lighting.

Fox Marketing 2012 Civic Si Coupe

Becoming Fox Marketing’s 70th automotive design project, their 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe show car beams with Ultrasonic Blue Pearl beauty. A combination of 18 aftermarket suppliers and partners, the Fox Marketing 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe enhances the essence of the compact coupe. Outfitted with aftermarket side skirts as well as front and rear bumper covers, the CarBodyKits.com look provides a sporty but sophisticated look. Sourced from Vossen Wheels, CV3 brushed aluminum 20-Inch wheels are equipped on the Fox Marketing 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe encapsulated in Toyo tires. Yonaka Ronin Black leather seats and a custom rear leather seat are found inside of the sport compact show car wearing Si inserts.

Under the hood of the Fox Marketing 2012 Civic Si Coupe, the Honda 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine has a wide array of racing-caliber components. Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan

Unlike the other three leading 2012 Honda Civic SEMA Show vehicles, the Tjin Edition has customized a sedan version of the popular compact car.

While a Magnaflow exhaust system and Nitrous Express performance-boosting unit is fitted to the Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan, changes exercised on this vehicle are more well rounded. Featuring a front bumper and rear spoiler acquired from Unique Fabrication, the Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan is covered with a Wraptivo custom wrap. The exterior details are accented by a Thule roof rack on the modified 2012 Civic. Taking a radical, non-conformist approach to design, the Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan most notable distinguishing item from other custom SEMA creations rests within Falken tires. Mismatched colouring for the RotiForm 19-inch wbeels sees orange used on the driver side and purple on the passenger side.

Inside, leather seating and inserts from LR Interiors decks out the cabin area. Realm Audio supplies the Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan with improved stereo sound through speakers, dual amplifiers and subwoofers. For cases when a baby’s lullaby is pumping out of the Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan‘s speakers, a young child rides in Recaro baby seats.

Although the news broke a few days ago just before the 2011 SEMA Show, I still want to share Chevy’s latest Camaro concept car – the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept. GM and Mattel teamed up to create this cool new concept, and did a fantastic job making it look like a full-sized Hot Wheels toy.

The Camaro Hot Wheels Concept is actually based off of one of the first 16 Hot Wheels toys ever made – the “Custom Camaro” – in 1968. The original toy had what they call a Spectraflame finish, so the team at Chevy spent a significant amount of time trying to recreate the look of a Hot Wheels finish by giving the car this glowing, colored green chrome (using a process never before done on a car,) and did a fantastic job.

The Camaro Hot Wheels Concept has, in addition to the unique paint job, Hot Wheels badging on the front grille, quarter panels, door sills, rear deck lid, and embroidered on the front seatbacks. In terms of styling, they’ve given the car the ZL1 grille and spoiler, a black body kit all-around, black, 20-inch wheels with a red accent stripe, Euro-style taillamps and rear fascia, a black stripe down the middle, and a black aluminum hood insert with milled hood vent extractors. Inside, the concept gets fancy pedals, red lighting in the footwells and cup holders, and a black/red interior theme.

For performance, they’ve given the Hot Wheels Camaro bigger Brembo brakes, lowered it, added a strut tower brace, a new exhaust system, and planted in the 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and 6-speed manual transmission.

For Chevy, it’s just a concept, but for Hot Wheels, you can pick up the 1:64 scale model very soon.

The Genesis and Genesis Coupe represented Hyundai’s first rear-wheel drive entries on the United States. With all that investment on a new platform, there is a lot of possibilities. Hyundai has consistently refined the Genesis Sedan, and the Genesis Coupe is getting its first update at the North American International Auto Show in January.

Part of the big investment with the Genesis Sedan was the Tau V-8. Despite enthusiasts hopes though, the V-8 has never been put into the Genesis Coupe. Hyundai doesn’t have any plans to do so either. The Genesis sedan and coupe remain pretty distinct products from each other, despite sharing a name. When there’s a demand for something the manufacturer won’t do, the aftermarket often steps up. In this case, its Rhys Millen.

The RM500 Genesis Coupe recently debuted at SEMA 2011, packing a V-8 power plant. Along with the RM500 the company has debuted an RMR line of accessories that include a carbon fiber aerodynamics package, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Millen says “From the moment I saw the Tau V8 engine in the Genesis R-Spec and Equus, I knew it would be a perfect fit for the Genesis Coupe, adding even more performance and power to the dynamic coupe.” After seeing that, he set out to make a Genesis Coupe V-8 happen. The 5.0-liter power plant hasn’t been left stock either. Millen boosted the power by 20 ponies, to 449 horsepower, thanks to a stainless steel exhaust and AEM engine management system. Other changes include a light weight clutch and flywheel, oil cooler, rear differential cooler, and adapter plate.

The carbon fiber package is made up of a front grille, fog light vents with brake ducts, yellow fog light covers, front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, and three-piece spoiler. Inside, there is a suede trim package, Sparco Chrono Sport Seats, track sliders and leather shift knob, along with RMR seat brackets and a 1-inch steering column extension. Now, how much will it cost? That’s the question, and one we don’t have answer for yet.

An exhibition of big horsepower, big creativity and big enthusiasm in an attempt to lure registered visitors to the 2011 SEMA Show, compact, muscle as well as exotic cars are modded to varying themes. A vehicle category full of brand loyalty and personalization, trucks remain a giant centerpiece for the Las Vegas show. Heavyweight auto manufacturers will be adopting some stylistic explorations in pickup trucks highlighted by a few notable examples at the 2011 show.

Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series

Celebrating Toyota’s decades of success at the Baja 500 and Baja 1000 desert races, the automaker has crafted a limited edition production model of the 2012 Tacoma TRD T/X truck. Making its debut at the 2011 SEMA Show, the Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series is a fully capable off-roading truck available through the 4X4 Access and Double Cab models. Upgraded using a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Off-Road tuned suspension system, the ride of the Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series opens the vehicle to more versatile travel over rough surfaces. Two inches taller than the traditional 2012 Toyota Tacoma, the duty-suited suspension on the Baja Series truck includes TRD front coil springs and zinc-plated Bilstein shock absorbers promoting increased dampening as well as greater oscillation travel.

Toyota’s 4WDemand drivetrain, TRD cat-back exhaust, Active Traction Control and specific bed side graphics will also be included on the Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series when it is introduced for sale late spring of 2012.

2011 Ford F-150 by CGS Performance Products

The Ford F-150 is the United States automobile equivalent of a Swiss Army knife. Starting with the V-6 powered models including the new Ecoboost-engined version, the Ford line-up is topped with the Super Duty class of work trucks. Established as a working vehicle for so long, the modern trend for urbanizing full-sized pickup trucks, customization has led to creations like the CGS Performance Products 2011 Ford F-150 to surface. Showcasing CGS Performance Products cat-back exhaust and cold-air intake technology, the SEMA show truck (called the “Tarmac” F-150) features an extensive array of modifications. Adding to the performance department, a Whipple twin-screw supercharger spins alongside the CGS Performance Products equipment.

An aluminum hood, Colorado Custom wheels as well as Paramount Restyling grille decorates the exterior covered in Dupont black and Boyd Red paint. Riding on a Bell Tech front coilover suspension, the wheels of this special Ford F-150 is stopped by six-piston Bear brakes. Inside, the 2011 Ford F-150 by CGS Performance Products has seating upholstered with red Pecca Leather and VizuaLogic headrest monitors.

A loaded contingent of modified pickup trucks being presented by Ford Motor Company at the 2011 SEMA Show, the Las Vegas Convention Center will feature four unique creations. From the mildly customized Ford F-150 Ecoboost, those vehicles will also share floor space with Ford Super Duty show trucks created by Superlift Suspensions and Hulst Customs.

Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Realtree Concept

Filling the heads of weekend outdoors warriors with enviable thoughts of early Saturday morning, a crew cab version of the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD indulges the 2011 SEMA Show’s desert city crowd. A collective effort involving popular outdoor company Realtree, customized pickup truck features extreme four-wheel drive capability. Wearing exclusive graphics promoting the outdoor theme, the Silverado Realtree is painted with a Champagne Silver Metallic colour. Exterior modifications exercised on the Silverado Realtree Concept include a front bumper with winch and a custom rear cap. General Motor’s 6.6 liter Duramax turbodiesel engine 765 pounds-feet of torque powers the Silverado Realtree Concept through the four-wheel drivetrain ushering massive 35-inch tires surrounding 18-inch wheels.

The Chevrolet Silverado interior for the Realtree features Dark Cocoa leather decked with camouflage and bright orange accentuations. Though the Realtree Concept version of the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD sports a lot of grit, there is some civility in place to improve occupants’ entry and exit. A power-actuated running board is fitted to the Silverado Realtree Concept.

Ram 392 Quick Silver

For those who were afraid that Chrysler’s full-sized pickup truck would lose the occasional venture into creating muscle trucks (street performance oriented vehicles) when the Ram brand was formed, the 2011 SEMA Show has a reason to remember Dodge truck greatness including the SRT-10 and Rumble Bee versions.

Dropping the SRT line 6.4 liter, 470-horsepower V-8 powerplant into a 2011 Ram R/T pickup, the work of Mopar Underground commenced in developing the corresponding image for the Ram 392 Quick Silver. Borrowing some styling inspiration from the Dodge Charger SRT8, the Ram 392 Quick Silver receives a bulging aluminum hood incorporating working heat extractors. Over the truck’s box, a tonneau cover with an integrated spoiler gives the sport truck a better aerodynamic profile. Three-stage bright silver, with exception to gloss black colour treatment to the pickup‘s roof, solidifies the Ram 392 Quick Silver nameplate. The employment of a Mopar body kit and body-colour matching Brembo brake calipers add a street sporty look delighting tarmac runners (at the expense of a few off-roader). Serving as a contrast to the monochrome look, anodized red paint is applied to the Ram 392 Quick Silver’s 22-inch wheels, side mirrors as well as on the front grille inserts. The entire Ram 392 Quick Silver concept rides 2 inches lower than the Ram R/T truck thanks to a custom suspension further articulating the low profile appearance created by the Mopar body kit.

The regular cab interior compartment of the Ram 392 Quick Silver is loaded with comfort as well as performance of another kind. Katzkin leather SRT seats with red stitching is the centerpiece of the heavily leather cabin that also includes premium floor mats and Mopar’s pedal kit. As for performance other than the 470-horsepower under the hood of the Ram 392 Quick Silver, a Kicker speaker set including tweeters, mids and woofers pump the small interior space with some serious beats.

Recognized as the ACR and American Club Racer line, this racing-suited Chrysler model was first adopted by the compact Neon cars in 1995 and sparred a popular, modern take on sport vehicles. Catered to more track-like handling characteristics, the ACR package was targeted for unleashing Mopar action in competition. The ACR moniker was largely replaced by the SRT badging during the mid-2000s for much of the Dodge line-up. One vehicle that continued offering an ACR version was the Dodge Viper first introduced in 1999.

While the Dodge Viper’s production is on hiatus as Chrysler puts focus on their core vehicles, the automaker is still demonstrating pride for their supercar as recent as last month. Sending a 2010 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR to the Nurburgring, Chrysler’s SRT division stormed around the 12.9-mile Nordschleife circuit in 7 minutes and 12.13 seconds. On September 14th, the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR became the 4th fastest production car to lap the German Nurburgring track. In anticipation that the ACR badge could again ride high in the world rankings, the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas presents Dodge’s current leading performance machine, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, in ACR trim.

A product of Chrysler’s Mopar underground team, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR resurfaces the notion of a serious muscle car that roamed roads in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Especially in an era where GPS units and Bluetooth connectivity is typical phrases mentioned in modern automotive feature listings, the special Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR is completely invested in speed enhancements.

Expanding on creativity shown on the Mopar’s Drag Pak version of the Dodge Challenger, the white and charcoal black Challenger SRT8 ACR is the latest figure of the Chrysler company’s performance drive. Mirroring the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR version, the exterior look is coupled with a flame red stripe traveling along the driver-side length of the vehicle. A carbon fiber hood, Mopar front splitter and a special fuel door is mounted on the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR concept heightening the car’s track potential.

Employing front and rear strut braces in concert with a coil-over suspension package, the Dodge Challenger ACR’s ride is calibrated for aggressive driving. Streaking the race tracks with Goodyear F1 Supercar tires (similar to those employed on the Challenger SRT8 392 main rival the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1), the black-painted 20-inch alloy wheels guides the modified Dodge pony car. With changes to improve the mechanical grip of the Dodge Challenger, the ACR 470-horsepower, 6.4 liter V-8 engine does not boast any great increases in overall power. Camaro Synergy Series Concept

Taking over the personality of the RS and SS package, the Synergy version of the Chevrolet Camaro combines an ample amount of flash with dash. Presented with a Silver Ice exterior complemented with black accent trim, the Camaro Synergy Series Concept receives outer enhancements care of Chevrolet Accessories with body colour ground effects and 21-inch wheels. Synergy decals are worn on the Chevrolet Camaro sitting closer to the ground thanks to a Pedders lowering suspension. Black leather seating with red secondary colouring, the Camaro Synergy Series Concept’s interior scheme is rich with Chevrolet Accessories charm including specialized floor mats, lighting and pedal kit. Stitched in red thread, the Hurst short-throw shifter is a centerpiece in the Camaro Synergy’s cabin.

Chevrolet hints that favourable reception of the Camaro Synergy Series Concept at SEMA could make it onto a production car.

Camaro 1LE Concept

Everybody in the land of Camaro is waiting for the ZL1 with many knowing the 580-horsepower super pony car could be out of reach. In the Camaro 1LE Concept, Chevrolet has taken steps to create a non-ZL1 using many of the specialized components of the top 2012 production Camaro. Two other versions of the Chevrolet subcompact car, Sonic Z-Spec 4D Concept and the Sonic Dusk, will also complete a quartet for the SEMA Show display.

After a year of sales success in North America, the Chevrolet Cruze will be celebrating their recent presence in the automotive marketplace with two SEMA Show cars. Featuring the same modifications as the Chevrolet Sonic Z-Spec models, the Cruze Z-Spec and the Cruze Dusk are handsomely stylized beyond stock trim. The milder Chevrolet Cruze Dusk version wears a unique grille and is outfitted with a custom stereo system.

Chevrolet‘s vice president of global marketing and strategy Chris Perry introduces the Z-Spec Sonic and Cruze SEMA Show concept cars as “The heritage of Chevrolet cars like the Corvette and Camaro is being expressed in smaller packages for the next generation,”. Chevrolet has said the Sonic Z-Spec enhancement parts will be available by the end of the 2011 making the Las Vegas convention appearance a kick-off to changing perception of smaller cars

In their SEMA show car version of the new Ford Focus, Steeda has created a red and black piece designed by road as well as the track. What would the annual SEMA Show be without a bunch of beautiful women showing off the new products and cars? A pretty lame SEMA Show, that’s what.

This year’s show was no exception – nearly every other booth had models for the products, some of which were even well-known models, signing posters and magazines, and taking pictures with the gawking men at the show. Seeing as how I’m male, I, of course, was no exception. You won’t find me in any of these pictures though, just the beautiful women of SEMA, second only at the show to the cars (and some would argue with that.)
