Mainly for a younger crowd, the Coupe gives us the quintessential sports-car layout: front-engine, rear-wheel-drive (FR,) on a lightweight, fun-to-drive platform for a measly $23,000 (starting price.) And what do nearly all import tuners do with an FR layout sports car? Well, they drop in a humongous LS1 V8 from a Corvette, of course.</p><p>We originally saw this car at the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas last November. And now it&#8217;s for sale &#8211; <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2011-Hyundai-Genesis-Coupe-V8-SuperCharged-LS1-First-US-/350529001032">for only $45,000</a>.</p><p>Mated to a Magnusun Roots Style Supercharger and T56 Manual Transmission (used in everything from a Dodge Viper to the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish,) this bad boy puts out somewhere around 560 hp <em>to the wheels</em>. Yes, that&#8217;s ridiculously fast.</p><p>Of course, more than just the engine and transmission were modified to achieve this sort of power. The builders, Enjuku Racing, also installed and replaced all sorts of internals, modified the suspension to BC Racing Coilovers, added a Quaife LSD, BC Racing Wheels, a Wilwood 14&#8243; Front Big Brake Kit to slow all that momentum, SPEC Stage 1 Clutch &#038; Flywheel, ISIS Performance Race Exhaust, Custom headers, Hurst Short shifter, Sparco racing seats, a Carbon Fiber body kit (including the hood, trunk, lip, and roof skin,) and plenty of other minor goodies to make the car safe to drive.</p><p>The parts total: $51,000 alone. You can buy the car without the supercharger, but why would you want to? At this year&#8217;s <a href="http://www.automoblog.net/category/events/sema/" title="SEMA">SEMA Show</a>, they unveiled the final production model &#8211; the Tanom Motors Invader TC-3.</p><p>The primary modifications done to the Invader include a longer and wider wheelbase, and a larger size overall.</p><p>Not changed is the Invader&#8217;s 194hp, 1,340 cc engine from a Suzuki Hayabusa mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. Doesn&#8217;t sound like much, but considering the car/bike/thing only weighs in at 1040 lbs, it&#8217;s enough to propel it from zero to 60 mph in under four seconds to a top speed of 150 mph. src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"></script></p><p>Inside, drivers get the typical sports car getup &#8211; two bucket racing seats, detachable steering wheel, three pedals, cup holders, glove box, and a few other things you&#8217;ll see in a car but not a super bike, and that&#8217;s the point. Three wheels &#8211; 20-inchers in the front and 18-inch in the rear, steer the car and are influenced by a fully adjustable suspension and four- and six-piston calipers on disc brakes all the way around.</p><p>Optional are chrome and carbon fiber packages (no specifics given there,) a rear spoiler, embroidered floor mats, and an upgraded Rockford Fosgate GPS/audio system. Outside in the public area, individual&#8217;s customized Camaros were littered across the lot. Many of the companies had Camaros as show cars, and inside, you could be anywhere on the floor and have at least one Camaro within view somewhere.</p><p>It&#8217;s no surprise, then, that the Chevy Camaro won &#8220;SEMA&#8217;s Hottest Car&#8221; for the second year in a row. Chevy themselves had at least six new Camaros to show off, including the <strong>COPO Camaro</strong> &#8211; a concept drag-prepped Camaro &#8211; the <strong><a title="Chevy Unveils the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept at SEMA" href="http://www.automoblog.net/2011/11/04/chevy-camaro-hot-wheels-concept/">Camaro Hot Wheels Concept</a></strong> &#8211; a full-scale interpretation of a Hot Wheels toy &#8211; <strong>Camaro Red Zone</strong> &#8211; showing the new-for-2012 Crystal Claret exterior color &#8211; the <strong>Camaro Synergy Series Concept</strong> – a new concept in their &#8220;Synergy&#8221; line with a silver exterior and red accents &#8211; the <strong>Camaro 1LE Concept</strong> – a concept idea similar to the Corvette Grand Sport, borrowing components from the Camaro SS and upcoming Camaro ZL1 &#8211; and my favorite, the <strong>Camaro ZL1 Carbon Concept</strong> &#8211; a special version of the Camaro ZL1 with plenty of carbon fiber added for that extra-special flair of sexiness:</p><p><a href="http://www.automoblog.net/2011/11/07/camaros-2011-sema-show/camaro-zl1-carbon-concept-3/" rel="attachment wp-att-20992"><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-20992" title="Camaro ZL1 Carbon Concept (3)" src="http://cdn.automoblog.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Camaro-ZL1-Carbon-Concept-3-623x414.jpg" alt="Camaro ZL1 Carbon Concept" width="623" height="414" /></a></p><p>My overall favorite Camaro of the show, however, was sitting outside. Called the 1968/2010 Camaro SS AWD (yes, as in all-wheel-drive,) this car is literally the front of a 1968 Camaro seamlessly combined with the rear of a 2010 Camaro, and the roof chopped off. The AWD powertrain comes from a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer SS, and the motor is a 376 crate motor with an added Procharger pushing 20lbs of boost, capable of a ground-scorching 800 hp. Since we didn&#8217;t have a photographer this year, the pictures you see below are just me with my point-and-shoot, which explains the glare, blur, poor photo composition, and everything else that comes with a crappy photographer with a point-and-shoot. GM and Mattel teamed up to create this cool new concept, and did a fantastic job making it look like a full-sized Hot Wheels toy.</p><p>The Camaro Hot Wheels Concept is actually based off of one of the first 16 Hot Wheels toys ever made &#8211; the &#8220;Custom Camaro&#8221; &#8211; in 1968. The original toy had what they call a Spectraflame finish, so the team at Chevy spent a significant amount of time trying to recreate the look of a Hot Wheels finish by giving the car this glowing, colored green chrome (using a process never before done on a car,) and did a fantastic job.</p><p>The Camaro Hot Wheels Concept has, in addition to the unique paint job, Hot Wheels badging on the front grille, quarter panels, door sills, rear deck lid, and embroidered on the front seatbacks. In terms of styling, they&#8217;ve given the car the ZL1 grille and spoiler, a black body kit all-around, black, 20-inch wheels with a red accent stripe, Euro-style taillamps and rear fascia, a black stripe down the middle, and a black aluminum hood insert with milled hood vent extractors. Despite enthusiasts hopes though, the V-8 has never been put into the Genesis Coupe. Hyundai doesn&#8217;t have any plans to do so either. The Genesis sedan and coupe remain pretty distinct products from each other, despite sharing a name. When there&#8217;s a demand for something the manufacturer won&#8217;t do, the aftermarket often steps up. Along with the RM500 the company has debuted an RMR line of accessories that include a carbon fiber aerodynamics package, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes and 19-inch alloy wheels.</p><p>Millen says <em>“From the moment I saw the Tau V8 engine in the Genesis R-Spec and Equus, I knew it would be a perfect fit for the Genesis Coupe, adding even more performance and power to the dynamic coupe.”</em> After seeing that, he set out to make a Genesis Coupe V-8 happen. The 5.0-liter power plant hasn&#8217;t been left stock either. Millen boosted the power by 20 ponies, to 449 horsepower, thanks to a stainless steel exhaust and AEM engine management system. Other changes include a light weight clutch and flywheel, oil cooler, rear differential cooler, and adapter plate.</p><p>The carbon fiber package is made up of a front grille, fog light vents with brake ducts, yellow fog light covers, front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, and three-piece spoiler. Inside, there is a suede trim package, Sparco Chrono Sport Seats, track sliders and leather shift knob, along with RMR seat brackets and a 1-inch steering column extension. Now, how much will it cost? That&#8217;s the question, and one we don&#8217;t have answer for yet.</p><a A collective effort involving popular outdoor company Realtree, customized pickup truck features extreme four-wheel drive capability. Wearing exclusive graphics promoting the outdoor theme, the Silverado Realtree is painted with a Champagne Silver Metallic colour. Exterior modifications exercised on the Silverado Realtree Concept include a front bumper with winch and a custom rear cap. General Motor’s 6.6 liter Duramax turbodiesel engine 765 pounds-feet of torque powers the Silverado Realtree Concept through the four-wheel drivetrain ushering massive 35-inch tires surrounding 18-inch wheels.</p><p>The Chevrolet Silverado interior for the Realtree features Dark Cocoa leather decked with camouflage and bright orange accentuations. Though the Realtree Concept version of the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD sports a lot of grit, there is some civility in place to improve occupants’ entry and exit. Borrowing some styling inspiration from the Dodge Charger SRT8, the Ram 392 Quick Silver receives a bulging aluminum hood incorporating working heat extractors. Over the truck’s box, a tonneau cover with an integrated spoiler gives the sport truck a better aerodynamic profile. Three-stage bright silver, with exception to gloss black colour treatment to the pickup‘s roof, solidifies the Ram 392 Quick Silver nameplate. The employment of a Mopar body kit and body-colour matching Brembo brake calipers add a street sporty look delighting tarmac runners (at the expense of a few off-roader). Serving as a contrast to the monochrome look, anodized red paint is applied to the Ram 392 Quick Silver’s 22-inch wheels, side mirrors as well as on the front grille inserts. The entire Ram 392 Quick Silver concept rides 2 inches lower than the Ram R/T truck thanks to a custom suspension further articulating the low profile appearance created by the Mopar body kit.</p><p>The regular cab interior compartment of the Ram 392 Quick Silver is loaded with comfort as well as performance of another kind. The ACR moniker was largely replaced by the SRT badging during the mid-2000s for much of the Dodge line-up. One vehicle that continued offering an ACR version was the Dodge Viper first introduced in 1999.</p><p>While the Dodge Viper’s production is on hiatus as Chrysler puts focus on their core vehicles, the automaker is still demonstrating pride for their supercar as recent as last month. Sending a 2010 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR to the Nurburgring, Chrysler’s SRT division stormed around the 12.9-mile Nordschleife circuit in 7 minutes and 12.13 seconds. On September 14th, the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR became the 4th fastest production car to lap the German Nurburgring track. In anticipation that the ACR badge could again ride high in the world rankings, the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas presents Dodge’s current leading performance machine, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, in ACR trim.</p><p>A product of Chrysler’s Mopar underground team, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR resurfaces the notion of a serious muscle car that roamed roads in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Especially in an era where GPS units and Bluetooth connectivity is typical phrases mentioned in modern automotive feature listings, the special Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR is completely invested in speed enhancements.</p><p>Expanding on creativity shown on the Mopar’s Drag Pak version of the Dodge Challenger, the white and charcoal black Challenger SRT8 ACR is the latest figure of the Chrysler company’s performance drive. Mirroring the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR version, the exterior look is coupled with a flame red stripe traveling along the driver-side length of the vehicle. A carbon fiber hood, Mopar front splitter and a special fuel door is mounted on the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR concept heightening the car’s track potential.</p><p>Employing front and rear strut braces in concert with a coil-over suspension package, the Dodge Challenger ACR’s ride is calibrated for aggressive driving. Streaking the race tracks with Goodyear F1 Supercar tires (similar to those employed on the Challenger SRT8 392 main rival the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1), the black-painted 20-inch alloy wheels guides the modified Dodge pony car. With changes to improve the mechanical grip of the Dodge Challenger, the ACR 470-horsepower, 6.4 liter V-8 engine does not boast any great increases in overall power. The only engine-related modification Mopar made to the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR is the additional of a cat-back exhaust system and custom headers.</p><p>Amongst a cabin of carbon fiber, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR is most essentially a racing vehicle inside. Deleting the rear seat, adding racing-quality safety harnesses to performance bucket seats, other track-ready equipment on the Challenger SRT8 ACR includes a fire extinguisher and roll bar for extra body stiffness. Not without its charm, exterior styling colouring is continued to the interior of the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR as red and white joins the carbon fiber appearance. Ahead of the 2011 SEMA Show, two of the four Chevrolet Sonic show cars are presented as a guide to the Z-Spec design nature. The Chevy Sonic Z-Spec #1 is painted Torch Red with black graphics while a Z-Spec #2 version of the Sonic hatchback wears a flat white paint colour. Both Chevrolet Sonic show cars feature unique ground effect kits, rear spoilers and stylized decals on the outside. Presented in white on the Sonic Z-Spec #1 and black on the version #2 of the subcompact, special 18-inch Z-Spec concept wheels fills up the wheel housings.</p><p>Unveiled alongside the stock Chevrolet Sonic at the 2011 Detroit North American International Auto Show, the experimental Z-Spec accessories range is created to optimize vehicle styling and performance. Both versions of the Z-Spec are included with brake and suspension modifications. A high-flow exhaust system is also included in order to allow better performance from the Chevrolet Sonic’s 1.4 turbocharged powerplant.</p><p>Sharply demonstrating the interior styling options offered under the Z-Spec equipment range, the two modified Chevrolet Sonic hatchbacks have swapped out stock items for racier alternatives. Z-Spec customization components for the Chevrolet Sonic models include sport pedal kits, shifters, and a special racing-inspired steering wheel featuring a flat-bottom shaping. On the Sonic Z-Spec #1 concept, the interior is dressed with Cobalt Red custom trim and perforated black suede seating inserts. A pair of Z-Spec branded custom racing seats is equipped on the Sonic Z-Spec #2 vehicle. Once the vehicle launches to the electric motor‘s total output, the Honda CR-Z Mugen awakes the car 1.5 liter engine presented with support from a supercharger.
