A combination of 18 aftermarket suppliers and partners, the Fox Marketing 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe enhances the essence of the compact coupe. Outfitted with aftermarket side skirts as well as front and rear bumper covers, the CarBodyKits.com look provides a sporty but sophisticated look. Sourced from Vossen Wheels, CV3 brushed aluminum 20-Inch wheels are equipped on the Fox Marketing 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe encapsulated in Toyo tires. Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan

Unlike the other three leading 2012 Honda Civic SEMA Show vehicles, the Tjin Edition has customized a sedan version of the popular compact car.

While a Magnaflow exhaust system and Nitrous Express performance-boosting unit is fitted to the Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan, changes exercised on this vehicle are more well rounded. Featuring a front bumper and rear spoiler acquired from Unique Fabrication, the Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan is covered with a Wraptivo custom wrap. The exterior details are accented by a Thule roof rack on the modified 2012 Civic. Taking a radical, non-conformist approach to design, the Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan most notable distinguishing item from other custom SEMA creations rests within Falken tires. Mismatched colouring for the RotiForm 19-inch wbeels sees orange used on the driver side and purple on the passenger side.

Inside, leather seating and inserts from LR Interiors decks out the cabin area. Realm Audio supplies the Tjin Edition 2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan with improved stereo sound through speakers, dual amplifiers and subwoofers. Although the news broke a few days ago just before the 2011 SEMA Show, I still want to share Chevy’s latest Camaro concept car – the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept. GM and Mattel teamed up to create this cool new concept, and did a fantastic job making it look like a full-sized Hot Wheels toy.

The Camaro Hot Wheels Concept is actually based off of one of the first 16 Hot Wheels toys ever made – the “Custom Camaro” – in 1968. The original toy had what they call a Spectraflame finish, so the team at Chevy spent a significant amount of time trying to recreate the look of a Hot Wheels finish by giving the car this glowing, colored green chrome (using a process never before done on a car,) and did a fantastic job.

The Camaro Hot Wheels Concept has, in addition to the unique paint job, Hot Wheels badging on the front grille, quarter panels, door sills, rear deck lid, and embroidered on the front seatbacks. In terms of styling, they’ve given the car the ZL1 grille and spoiler, a black body kit all-around, black, 20-inch wheels with a red accent stripe, Euro-style taillamps and rear fascia, a black stripe down the middle, and a black aluminum hood insert with milled hood vent extractors. Inside, the concept gets fancy pedals, red lighting in the footwells and cup holders, and a black/red interior theme.

For performance, they’ve given the Hot Wheels Camaro bigger Brembo brakes, lowered it, added a strut tower brace, a new exhaust system, and planted in the 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and 6-speed manual transmission.

For Chevy, it’s just a concept, but for Hot Wheels, you can pick up the 1:64 scale model very soon.

When it comes to Ford performance vehicles, they are all over the map in terms of designations. That might change a bit in the future though. as the company has indicated ST could be coming to more models. At the Los Angeles International Auto Show later in the month, Ford will be debuting the production Focus ST, which was previewed by a concept model.

The Focus ST has been billed as Ford’s first truly global performance vehicle. Now Ford is announcing the five-door Fiesta ST, which is also being billed as a “concept” at first. Most likely, it is anything but. It follows a three-door model that was shown at the Frankfurt Auto Show.

Suped up hatchbacks have never really been a presence in the United States like they are in other countries, but with the Fiesta, Focus and other manufacturers having small hatches on the market, that could change.

For instance, who wouldn’t want to see a Mazdaspeed 2? It’d be pretty neat. Ford is testing the waters on the idea with the Fiesta ST. The Fiesta ST follows a similar template to the Focus ST before it, and Ford says that’s the whole point. “With the Fiesta ST Concept, we are demonstrating that our global performance plan has legs,” says Jost Capito, Ford director of Global Performance Vehicles..the Fiesta ST Concept shows in the most dramatic way possible that the qualities that define an ST are not limited to one model….the potential for delivering the ST experience to an even wider audience is laid bare by this exciting new concept.”

They sound pretty excited about it. Following the Focus ST’s mould means a distinctive, gaping maw front end, more aggressive, blacked out headlights, 17-inch wheels and a body kit. Power comes from an Ecoboost (what else?) 1.6-liter four-cylinder, delivering 180 horsepower and 177 pound feet of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

There’s no all-wheel drive to be found here either; the Fiesta ST remains a front-driver. We’d be shocked if the Fiesta ST didn’t make it to production. With that kind of power and a l Until the announcement comes though check out our gallery of Ford’s performance baby below.

An exhibition of big horsepower, big creativity and big enthusiasm in an attempt to lure registered visitors to the 2011 SEMA Show, compact, muscle as well as exotic cars are modded to varying themes. Upgraded using a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Off-Road tuned suspension system, the ride of the Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series opens the vehicle to more versatile travel over rough surfaces. Two inches taller than the traditional 2012 Toyota Tacoma, the duty-suited suspension on the Baja Series truck includes TRD front coil springs and zinc-plated Bilstein shock absorbers promoting increased dampening as well as greater oscillation travel.

Toyota’s 4WDemand drivetrain, TRD cat-back exhaust, Active Traction Control and specific bed side graphics will also be included on the Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series when it is introduced for sale late spring of 2012.

2011 Ford F-150 by CGS Performance Products

The Ford F-150 is the United States automobile equivalent of a Swiss Army knife. Starting with the V-6 powered models including the new Ecoboost-engined version, the Ford line-up is topped with the Super Duty class of work trucks. Established as a working vehicle for so long, the modern trend for urbanizing full-sized pickup trucks, customization has led to creations like the CGS Performance Products 2011 Ford F-150 to surface. Showcasing CGS Performance Products cat-back exhaust and cold-air intake technology, the SEMA show truck (called the “Tarmac” F-150) features an extensive array of modifications. Adding to the performance department, a Whipple twin-screw supercharger spins alongside the CGS Performance Products equipment.

An aluminum hood, Colorado Custom wheels as well as Paramount Restyling grille decorates the exterior covered in Dupont black and Boyd Red paint. Riding on a Bell Tech front coilover suspension, the wheels of this special Ford F-150 is stopped by six-piston Bear brakes. Inside, the 2011 Ford F-150 by CGS Performance Products has seating upholstered with red Pecca Leather and VizuaLogic headrest monitors.

Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Realtree Concept

Filling the heads of weekend outdoors warriors with enviable thoughts of early Saturday morning, a crew cab version of the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD indulges the 2011 SEMA Show’s desert city crowd. A collective effort involving popular outdoor company Realtree, customized pickup truck features extreme four-wheel drive capability. Wearing exclusive graphics promoting the outdoor theme, the Silverado Realtree is painted with a Champagne Silver Metallic colour. Exterior modifications exercised on the Silverado Realtree Concept include a front bumper with winch and a custom rear cap. General Motor’s 6.6 liter Duramax turbodiesel engine 765 pounds-feet of torque powers the Silverado Realtree Concept through the four-wheel drivetrain ushering massive 35-inch tires surrounding 18-inch wheels.

The Chevrolet Silverado interior for the Realtree features Dark Cocoa leather decked with camouflage and bright orange accentuations. Though the Realtree Concept version of the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD sports a lot of grit, there is some civility in place to improve occupants’ entry and exit. A power-actuated running board is fitted to the Silverado Realtree Concept.

Ram 392 Quick Silver

For those who were afraid that Chrysler’s full-sized pickup truck would lose the occasional venture into creating muscle trucks (street performance oriented vehicles) when the Ram brand was formed, the 2011 SEMA Show has a reason to remember Dodge truck greatness including the SRT-10 and Rumble Bee versions.

Dropping the SRT line 6.4 liter, 470-horsepower V-8 powerplant into a 2011 Ram R/T pickup, the work of Mopar Underground commenced in developing the corresponding image for the Ram 392 Quick Silver. Borrowing some styling inspiration from the Dodge Charger SRT8, the Ram 392 Quick Silver receives a bulging aluminum hood incorporating working heat extractors. Over the truck’s box, a tonneau cover with an integrated spoiler gives the sport truck a better aerodynamic profile. Three-stage bright silver, with exception to gloss black colour treatment to the pickup‘s roof, solidifies the Ram 392 Quick Silver nameplate. The employment of a Mopar body kit and body-colour matching Brembo brake calipers add a street sporty look delighting tarmac runners (at the expense of a few off-roader). Serving as a contrast to the monochrome look, anodized red paint is applied to the Ram 392 Quick Silver’s 22-inch wheels, side mirrors as well as on the front grille inserts. The entire Ram 392 Quick Silver concept rides 2 inches lower than the Ram R/T truck thanks to a custom suspension further articulating the low profile appearance created by the Mopar body kit.

The regular cab interior compartment of the Ram 392 Quick Silver is loaded with comfort as well as performance of another kind. Recognized as the ACR and American Club Racer line, this racing-suited Chrysler model was first adopted by the compact Neon cars in 1995 and sparred a popular, modern take on sport vehicles. Catered to more track-like handling characteristics, the ACR package was targeted for unleashing Mopar action in competition. The ACR moniker was largely replaced by the SRT badging during the mid-2000s for much of the Dodge line-up. One vehicle that continued offering an ACR version was the Dodge Viper first introduced in 1999.

While the Dodge Viper’s production is on hiatus as Chrysler puts focus on their core vehicles, the automaker is still demonstrating pride for their supercar as recent as last month. Sending a 2010 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR to the Nurburgring, Chrysler’s SRT division stormed around the 12.9-mile Nordschleife circuit in 7 minutes and 12.13 seconds. On September 14th, the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR became the 4th fastest production car to lap the German Nurburgring track. In anticipation that the ACR badge could again ride high in the world rankings, the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas presents Dodge’s current leading performance machine, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, in ACR trim.

A product of Chrysler’s Mopar underground team, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR resurfaces the notion of a serious muscle car that roamed roads in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Especially in an era where GPS units and Bluetooth connectivity is typical phrases mentioned in modern automotive feature listings, the special Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR is completely invested in speed enhancements.

Mirroring the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR version, the exterior look is coupled with a flame red stripe traveling along the driver-side length of the vehicle. A carbon fiber hood, Mopar front splitter and a special fuel door is mounted on the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR concept heightening the car’s track potential.

Employing front and rear strut braces in concert with a coil-over suspension package, the Dodge Challenger ACR’s ride is calibrated for aggressive driving. Streaking the race tracks with Goodyear F1 Supercar tires (similar to those employed on the Challenger SRT8 392 main rival the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1), the black-painted 20-inch alloy wheels guides the modified Dodge pony car. With changes to improve the mechanical grip of the Dodge Challenger, the ACR 470-horsepower, 6.4 liter V-8 engine does not boast any great increases in overall power. The only engine-related modification Mopar made to the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR is the additional of a cat-back exhaust system and custom headers.

Amongst a cabin of carbon fiber, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR is most essentially a racing vehicle inside. Deleting the rear seat, adding racing-quality safety harnesses to performance bucket seats, other track-ready equipment on the Challenger SRT8 ACR includes a fire extinguisher and roll bar for extra body stiffness. Not without its charm, exterior styling colouring is continued to the interior of the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR as red and white joins the carbon fiber appearance. Seated firmly in the Dodge Challenger ART8 ACR‘s Katzkin leather, the driver handles a short-throw shifter assembly.

Part of Chrysler’s 28,400 square-foot display at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR show car is another projection for how automakers can envision their vehicles in different realities.

Coinciding with the first generation Chevrolet Camaro, the SEMA Show was launched in the late 1960s as a modest showcase of the best automotive performance and modification technology. As the SEMA Show has exploded to a multi-day trade exhibition, American performance cars like the Camaro have been given a place to shine in an environment largely shielded from pressing real world transportation scenarios.

With the legend of the Camaro returning after an extended hiatus in 2009, a brand new generation of General Motors pony cars brings the best of American motoring with the innovations of the 21st century. Acting like a long-running honeymoon, Chevrolet continues to celebrate the new Camaro two years after its reintroduction with five new SEMA Show concept cars.

Camaro Synergy Series Concept

Taking over the personality of the RS and SS package, the Synergy version of the Chevrolet Camaro combines an ample amount of flash with dash. Presented with a Silver Ice exterior complemented with black accent trim, the Camaro Synergy Series Concept receives outer enhancements care of Chevrolet Accessories with body colour ground effects and 21-inch wheels. Synergy decals are worn on the Chevrolet Camaro sitting closer to the ground thanks to a Pedders lowering suspension. Black leather seating with red secondary colouring, the Camaro Synergy Series Concept’s interior scheme is rich with Chevrolet Accessories charm including specialized floor mats, lighting and pedal kit. Stitched in red thread, the Hurst short-throw shifter is a centerpiece in the Camaro Synergy’s cabin.

Chevrolet hints that favourable reception of the Camaro Synergy Series Concept at SEMA could make it onto a production car.

Camaro 1LE Concept

Everybody in the land of Camaro is waiting for the ZL1 with many knowing the 580-horsepower super pony car could be out of reach. Pricing and production is guaranteed to keep many admirers at bay from the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. In the Camaro 1LE Concept, Chevrolet has taken steps to create a non-ZL1 using many of the specialized components of the top 2012 production Camaro. A Victory Red vehicle with flat black hood and front fender markings, satin black details highlights the rear spoiler, front splitter and rocker panels. Another exterior enhancements employed on the Camaro 1LE Concept includes the ZL1 inspired active exhaust and rear diffuser assembly. Riding on the same Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires as the Camaro ZL1 over Chevrolet officially licensed Brembo braking system, 20-inch lightweight wheels complete the aggressive outer coupe for the customized Camaro coupe. Mechanically enhanced with electric power steering, a close-ratio six-speed manual and the General Motors Magnetic Ride Control suspension system, the 1LE Concept edition of the pony car possesses a similar track manner as the Camaro ZL1.

ZL1 touches are also carried on the inside with stitched black leather seating and the flat-bottom steering wheel. Outfitter Chevrolet Accessories contributes pedal kit as well as a special red engine cover to complete the Camaro 1LE Concept.

Created as a tribute to the most famous die-cast car line in the world, Chevrolet is preparing to display a metallic green Chevrolet Camaro SS at the 2011 SEMA Show. Upcoming to 45th years of delighting automotive enthusiasts young and old with an affordable, detailed version of favourite vehicles, Hot Wheels original release of 16 cars included a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. The full-sized modern Camaro SS invokes the look of the classic die-cast car that includes Hot Wheels famous Red-line wheels.

Named the Hottest Car at the 2010 SEMA Awards, the Chevrolet Camaro’s 2011 line-up at the Las Vegas show reflects some of the best efforts to defend an important auto exhibition honour.

Continuing down their road to recovery following the natural disaster that amounted in the sad loss of over 15,000 Japanese citizen, the spirit to endure from the troubles have seen industrial production return, stabilizing the traumatic experiences of millions. In only a month, many of the Japanese auto plants were operational again with at least some production.

Upcoming in December, the Japanese auto industry will have a moment to shed light on the greatness in their vehicle culture and technology with the biennial Tokyo Motor Show. Always a showcase for creative designs and high-tech innovations, the 2011 edition of the car exhibition will count upon the country’s major automotive companies to refresh some optimism in the population.

Mazda Motor Corporation is one automaker ready to demonstrate there is indeed brightness in the ‘Land of the Rising Sun’. Showing off their Mazda CX-5 in the brand’s home country for the first time, the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show will perform the world debut of a concept car indicating direction for the next mid-sized sedan. The TAKERI concept embodies the two leading philosophies Mazda is touting as the future for their auto brand.

A concept car assimilating a good deal of production car characteristics, the Mazda TAKERI four-door sedan is said by the auto company “to bring a new level of strength and allure to sedan styling.” The latest vehicle to be crafted on the ‘KODO-Soul of Motion’ design language, loud tones of the Mazda SHINARI concept are telegraphed through the shapely sheet metal of the TAKERI sedan. Like the SHINARI, the front end features a large, upright grille opening complemented with a chrome accent sailing under and towards the headlamp housings. At the rear end of the concept vehicle, the Mazda TAKERI formulates a near fastback profile for what is likely superior aerodynamic balancing.

An elegant use of curves achieves a classically refined yet sporty appearance for the Mazda TAKERI concept which is said to provide a “comfortable ride feel”. While specific details are not provided on the interior accommodations, images of the Mazda TAKERI cabin leaves expectations of enviable comfort a real possibility.

First time being exhibited by Mazda, the TAKERI concept is a regenerative braking system designed to recycle kinetic energy into electrical energy. While the TAKERI is not a hybrid, the electrical energy will be channelled back into vehicle’s electric-powered systems. With the surge of energy into the electrical hardware, the engine will be less burdened to produce the electric power thereby allowing the engine to run with more efficiency. The powerplant attached to the Mazda TAKERI concept car is a diesel version of the engine using SkyActiv technology. The SkyActiv-D engine is a highly efficient, clean diesel powerplant likely to deliver outstanding fuel economy when combined with the benefits from Mazda’s regenerative braking.

Along with the SkyActiv technology undertaking, Mazda says the latest TAKERI concept is part of a three-step “Building Block Strategy” for electrically based fuel savings. With step one being stop/start technology and the second being regenerative braking, the TAKERI possesses two of Mazda’s Building Block Strategy. Full hybrid and other electric powertrain technology are on the horizon as the Japanese auto brand’s third step.

Receiving major retouch in the past 2011 model year, a replacement design to the current Mazda6 is not likely to occur until the 2014 model year in North America. Since the development process for most new vehicles is roughly two years, a production four-door vehicle based on the Mazda TAKERI concept is a likely. Ford Start Concept

Designed by Ford’s California-based design offices this Ka-sized city car is powered by a 1.0-litre 1.0 litre turbocharged and direct-injected engine. The ‘EcoBoost’ engine offers the same performance as 1.6 litre engine, but produces less than 100g/km of CO2 emissions.

Arcimoto Green Concept Car

The Arcimoto Green Concept car takes its inspiration from the bicycle. Designed with two wheels at the front and just one at the back, the car is extremely light and as such uses much less battery power than other battery cars giving it a longer range of up to 160 miles per charge.

Phoenix Roadster

Made from bamboo and rattan roadster the Phoenix Roadster is the world’s first biodegradable car. Created by product designers Kenneth Cobonpue and Albrecht Birkner the Phoenix’s biodegradable skin is designed to last at least 5 years, the average length of time most people keep a car.

VW Bulli

The Bulli is an all-electric concept inspired by the Classic VW Camper. This zero-emissions vehicle has a driving range of around 184 miles and a 0 to 60 time of 11 seconds. With rear seats that fold flat to make a bed, all you need is then is your sleeping bag and a surfboard.

Peugeot SXC

The SXC (Shanghai Cross Concept) is a hybrid crossover powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine at the front and an 95bhp electric motor at the rear giving a combined 48.7mpg and emitting 143g/km of CO2. Whilst not the most impressive figures, do bare in mind this thing is bigger than a BMW X5.

Neora

The Neora Concept, from Taiwanese electric car maker Luxgen, is powered a 241 hp motor and is capable of travelling 400 km when fully charged. The Neora has a top speed of 250 km/h and features unique LED lights and an infotainment system from smartphone manufacturer HTC.

Tesla Model S

The Tesla Model S is the electric car maker’s second car. Tesla refer to the concept car as a ‘beta car’ meaning is almost ready car for production. The Model S supports DC fast charging, giving the car an extra 300 miles of range with just a 1 hour charge.

KTM E3W

The KTM E3W is an electric two-seater three-wheeled concept car powered by a 15kW electric motor with a range of up to 60 miles. To keep weight to a minimum the car has a plastic body and to make getting in and out easier the E3W has super cool scissor doors.

VELV

The VELV concept from PSA Peugeot Citroen is a 100% electric car with a 27-horsepower electric motor and a top speed of 68 mph. Capable of 62 miles when fully charged the VELV has aerodynamic styling, gull-wing windows and a peculiarly narrow backend.

Hyundai Blue2

The hydrogen-powered Blue2 hybrid from Hyundai produces an impressive 90 kW of power and is capable of 82 mpg. The car also feature automatic opening doors opening system, cameras instead of mirrors and even LED screens instead of number plates.

Opel One Euro

The One Euro concept from Opel is so called because of its ability to travel 100 kilometres for just one euro. This clever little car is a tandem two-seater, meaning that the passenger sits behind the driver, and has a range of just over 60 miles and a top speed of 75 mph.

MUTE

The MUTE is a prototype lightweight electric vehicle from Munich’s University of Technology. The car features a 15kW engine powered by a 10kW Lithium Ion battery and a 4kW Zinc-Air range extender; where zinc reacts with air producing a chemical reaction that results in electricity.

Jaguar C-X16

The Jaguar C-X16, is a super sexy concept from Jaguar. The hybrid coupe features a kinetic energy recovery system like that found in Formula 1 cars, where energy expended during breaking is stored for later use. One press of the C-X16′s push-to-pass button and the car will get a boost of power without using any extra fuel or emitting any harmful gases.

Audi Urban Concept

The Audi Urban Concept is another tandem car, with space for a single passenger behind the driver. Powered by two electric motors, with a combined 20bhp, the Urban Concept weighs less than half an average car and can be charged from a domestic socket in just one hour.

VW NILS EV

The Volkswagen NILS EV is a single seater featuring in-wheel motors powered by a lithium ion battery. This tiny, lightweight concept is made from aluminium and polycarbonate, weighs just 1014 pounds and has a top speed of 81 miles per hour.

An evolution especially important as the automobile progressed, vehicle lighting has taken strides in becoming brighter and more efficient. Part of the electrified concept car’s comprehensive range of lighting, the Audi A2 show vehicle features a rear fog light consisting of laser diodes. Perhaps lost in the flowing arrangement of LEDs on the Audi concept car, the red triangle lit by laser-produced was promoted as a powerful warning light for following vehicles.

In concept form on the BMW i8 and Audi A2 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the first major automotive display of laser lighting could pose a road to production that far exceeds the projection of brightness. A major task guaranteeing the widespread application of laser diode lighting rests in calming public perception behind this particular kind of artificially generated light. The reckless uses of certain lasers have made fears the radical headlight beams can cause harm to those exposed. On the system exhibited on the BMW i8 Concept, the auto company quickly pacifies safety concerns by insuring that the pure laser light is not emitted from the headlight system. The oldest industrial brand name in the General Motors portfolio, German’s Opel division started as a sewing machine manufacturer in 1862. Evolving to the production of bicycles soon later, Opel’s presence in wheeled transportation would turn to automobiles for the first time since 1899. Before Opel integrated with General Motors in 1928, the Germany car manufacturer captivated press and potential customers through the performances of experimental rocket -driven car. Called the Opel RAK, streamlined shapes and the solid-fuel rocket propulsion demonstrated a radical exercise in alternative automotive power. The Opel RAK 2 example of the rocket car achieved 143 miles per hour on four wheels. Developed 83 years after the successful RAK 2 demonstrations, the Opel RAK e Concept projects excellence in electric car technology.

As an experimental design and technical platform, the Opel RAK e Concept resembles a vehicle from the latest Tron movie. Not consisting of pixels and paragons, the Opel RAK e Concept is a narrow four-wheeler built around a steel space frame. One advantage for the narrow tandem cockpit set-up is unhindered vision ahead and alongside the driver. Custom fitting to the driver, the RAK e Concept features a completely adjustable steering wheel and foot pedals. Infotainment system as well as climate controls can also be found inside of the RAK e Concept collected into convenient displays.

The Opel RAK e joins the Audi urban concept and the slightly larger BMW i line-up as electrified compacts presented at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
