Acura’s Advanced Sports Car Concept was revealed at the 2007 North American International Auto Show, hinting at what the legendary NSX’s successor will look like. While not quite as sexy as the HSC Concept originally shown as the NSX replacement, the prototype shows us the next step in exotic sports car styling. Take a look below to see comparison pictures.

Tiff from Fifth Gear does a comparison drive of the McLaren F1 and Ferrari Enzo. I would love a chance to drive either one of these (preferably the McLaren.) Keep in mind that the McLaren is over a decade old now, is is still being compared head-to-head with the newest ultimate Ferrari. Amazing, if you ask me.

The green painted Ferrari Enzo that was thought to be the new vehicle for Chile’s police force has officialy been confirmed to be fake.

When Motorpasion first wrote about it, some of the readers quickly pointed to the original Enzo pictures used in the photoshop of the car:

Nihon Car & Bike shows us some pictures from Japanese car magazine “Car Top” of the upcoming Lexus IS500. It’s most definitely photochopped, but you get the idea. The first pic will be of the one we were shown, then it’s the original picture, from the IS350:

Great chop job, though, it looks really clean. Anyway, “Car Top” says the car will be powered by a 5.0L V8 pushing 420 hp and 405 ft-lbs of torque. Hopefully it will have better transmission choices. I haven’t driven the current IS line but I hear the “manumatic” tranny is terrible. I’m sure this will have a version of it, but the response time and other complaints of the current system should be fixed. I really like the style of the new IS line, and the fender flares and subtle rear lip spoiler look great.

2008 Hyundai Tiburon

Autoblog posted spy shots of the 2008 Hyundai Tiburon a couple weeks ago but I decided not to post about it since…well, it didn’t really matter. The spy shots weren’t really very exciting. Now though, we have updated shots from Hyundai of the new 2008 Hyundai Coupe (Tiburon in the US.) There seems to be a lot of debate as to whether the car is better looking or not, so I’ve created some side-by-side shots to make your decision that much easier :)

On all of these pictures, the silver one is the 2006 model, and the blue one is the 2008 (or 2007) model. Continue on for the comparison…

The Barabus TKR that I previously reported on has been unveiled, and the numbers are even better than expected. The body and chassis of the TKR are made of carbon fiber, which helps the twin-turbo 6.0L V8 (1005 hp,) propel the car from 0-60 mph in an amazing 1.67 seconds. Whoa. Not only that but the car can reach a top speed of 270 mph!

Barabus TKR

The TKR is designed to compete with the world’s fastest, quickest, best handling, most luxurious grand touring cars in the world.” Barabus will be producing 300-400 TKR’s over a three-year production period, and fetching one will cost you £360,000 ($454,176.)

Sadly, I expect this to go the way of the Vector Supercar. If this thing didn’t look like a cheap rip-off of the Saleen S7, I would be salivating. If you look at my other post about it, you can also see comparison shots between the TKR and the Lotus Elise and Pagani Zonda. You’ll be surprised at how similar they look.

Now let’s get real here. First, these numbers are most likely mathematical calculations used, and will not actually be the real numbers. Second, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani (I could go on,) could all make cars that have 1000 hp claims if they just want to say “my car has 1000 hp.” The real question (and the reason this isn’t already done,) is ‘How does it drive in the real world?’ It would be cool for Top Gear to test this car, it would be entertaining. But for real world driving where the roads aren’t all track, this thing probably sucks. Not to mention it’s most likely extremely unreliable and annoying to drive at low speeds. Don’t get me wrong here, I like the idea of huge numbers like that, but we have to be realistic. Look at how similar the TKR and the Saleen S7 are:
