Prodrive’s Limited Edition Alfa Romeo Brera S 3.2

Alfa-Romeo-Autodelta-Brera-S-2.jpg

If you ask me, Alfa can’t get back into the North American market quick enough. Why? Well check out this car here. This would be a Prodrive modified version of Alfa Romeo’s stunning Brera S 3.2 that has the added benefit of an Autodelta Supercharger.

So, with Fiat (Alfa’s parent company) still working on which models to bring in, I vote for this one.

Prodrive’s Limited Edition Alfa Romeo Brera S 3.2 is making its world debut at this weekend’s MPH09 Motor Show in London. The souped up Brera is based on the UK market Brera S and seems to be as stunning on the road as ti is to the eyes. A new project between Prodrive and Alfa Romeo UK, the Brera S 3.2 is a limited edition and highlights a bunch of upgrades the most noticable being a weight loss of 220 pounds, thanks to the ditching of the standard Brera V6’s Q4 all-wheel drive system and going with a front-wheel drive and a sportier suspension.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde with 170HP

Alfa-MiTo-QV-0.jpg

Here is yet another hot Alfa to covet: The MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde with 170HP 1.4-liter turbo engine. This is Alfa’s answer and a half to BMW’s Mini Cooper, think of it as being sort of bigger than a Fiat 500, yet still small and city-sized. Those considerations are kind of beside the point for me. Smaller means lighter, and lighter means faster, so I’m all for a car like the MiTo to start with. Stuff a bigger engine in it, and I like it even more.

Mini Supercars - A Photo Gallery

Mini Lamborghini Diablo

Sometime last year, a few Photoshop gurus got together and made some very funny “mini” versions of their favorite cars. The trend caught on, and soon lots of people were taking their favorite cars, and through the process of image manipulation, made them mini versions of themselves.

Below, you will find a photo gallery full of these micro machines, in all of their hilarious glory. If you have any you’d like to share, please leave a comment.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Goes On Sale In The U.K.

MiTo

Alfa Romeo’s MiTo, the Italian companies answer to BMW’s MINI(more or less) has just gone on sale in England. Why is this such a big deal? Because with Fiats recent acquisition of 35% of Chrysler, the MiTo is one of the models slated for our shores. So let’s take a look at what we will be getting.

Alfa Convertible Coming in 2009

Alfa Romeo C8 Spider

Alfa Romeo has announced their 8C Competizione “sex-on-wheels” sports car will be dropping its top for the 2008 Geneva Motor Show.

The C8 Spider, which will go on sale here early next year, will shed its fixed roof for a conventional cloth top. Sorry hardtop lovers, no fancy metal folding-roofs will be offered. But don’t fret, the top can be put up or down with the push of a button. In addition, the top will have no degradation on the slippery aerodynamics as well as not affect the near-perfect weight distribution of 51% front, 49% rear.

The 8C Spider will be powered by the same Ferrari F430-based 4.7-liter V8 that powers the Competizione coupe, which produces 450 horses and 347 lb-ft. of torque from under the hood. (This is a front-engine car, were as the Ferrari is mid-engine). Mated to the engine is a six-speed transaxle gearbox.

The Competizione was admired and lusted after when Alfa revealed its gorgeous curves as a concept back in 2003. It was sought after by journalists and car aficionados when it graced the pages of several major automotive magazines late last year. Soon enough, the perfect trifecta will form when the Spider rolls down a street near you. And if you’re lucky enough to own one of the 500 total cars being built (or at least one of 84 being delivered to the United States) at $250,000 a pop, you’ll certainly be the envied by the neighbors. Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Delivered In Holland

Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Front

I like the Dutch, they seem like really nice people (or at least everyone that I’ve met or worked with so far).

They’re also motorheads, given the right circumstances (think of Arie Luyendyk), and one of the car blogs that I check out regularly is called Autogespot (I have no idea how to say it either).

And look at what they caught roaming the streets of Amsterdam. Why, it’s a brand new Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione!

Bet you haven’t seen one of those in your neighborhood, have you?

Know why?

Because according to Autogespot, it’s the first one ever delivered in the world.

Still looks pretty in the real world, doesn’t it?

There’s some more pictures here, as well as on Autogespot.
