Spyker Unveils the B6 Venator Spyder Concept

Spyker B6 Venator Spyder

A few months ago at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, I sat down with Spyker to chat about their upcoming B6 Venator, which is set to compete with entry-level supercars like the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Porsche 911, and Audi R8.

And with any supercar, a convertible model shortly follows the coupe version, and the B6 Venator is no exception.

It also seems to be one of the few cars out there that actually look good in purple. Nice one Spyker.

As with the cars it competes with, the Spyder is basically the coupe with its top chopped off. Same specs: a mid-mounted V6 producing (at least) 375 hp heading to the rear wheels through a six-speed paddle-shifted automatic. An all carbon fiber body sitting atop an aluminum chassis allowing for a 1400 kg (3086 lb) kerb weight.

The Spyker B6 Venator Spyder is set for production in late 2014 and will cost around $150,000. For now, check out the extensive photo gallery below and let us know what you think in the comments:

About The Author

I founded Automoblog.net in May of 2006 to share my love of cars. My favorites include the Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT and Koenigsegg CCX, and I think the Ferrari 360 Spider is still one of the sexiest cars in existence. For “normal” cars, I like imports – Nissan, Audi, Subaru… I love my Pearl Yellow (don’t judge) 1990 Nissan 300ZX TT and plan to get it to around 550 HP one day. I’m also an avid world traveler and love rock climbing.
