Lamborghini Aventador J at Geneva 2012

Lamborghini Aventador J

Just yesterday we introduced you to the gorgeous new Lamborghini Aventador J (Jota) concept car unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show. Once the bulk of the crowd finally moved out, I managed to snap a few pictures of the car and its details. While seeing stock photos is always interesting, I think it’s more useful to see images of the car that aren’t staged – although admittedly, there is no replacement to seeing the car in person!

The Lamborghini Aventador J uses the same powertrain as the Aventador 700-4; that is, a massive 6.5-liter V12 powerhouse producing 700 horsepower, attached to Lamborghini’s seven-speed ISR gearbox that knocks off gears in only 50 milliseconds (as fast as an F1 car.) It’s also lighter than a dual-clutch system, helping bring the Aventador J’s weight down to only 3472 pounds.

First, take a look at the video below, showing Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann unveiling the Aventador J yesterday, then take a look at my pictures below, along with some of the beautiful models adorning the car:

Hi! I founded Automoblog.net in May of 2006. I'm an avid sports car and supercar enthusiast. My favorite cars include the Audi R8, Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT, and Koenigsegg CCX. I think the Ferrari 360 Spider is still one of the most beautiful cars in existence. For “normal” cars, I tend to lean towards imports - Nissan, Audi, and of course the Italians. I'm in love with my Pearl Yellow (don't judge) 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo and plan to get around 550 HP to the rear wheels one day. I'm also a world traveler and have been backpacking Europe since March 2012, writing about cars along the way
