Focus (Ford Focus) Comes to 2011 Edition SEMA Show

 

Starting November 1st, Las Vegas becomes a four-day car capital for the world when the most popular and important automotive aftermarket show assemblies. The 2011 SEMA show, held in the Las Vegas Convention Center, is staged to drive the imagination of car customizing through a wide range of parts for old and new automobiles. In recent years, the major auto companies have acquired the talents of aftermarket automotive outfitters to inspire a new image for their production vehicles. The 2011 edition of the SEMA Show will be no exception.

Eager to show their global 2012 Focus compact car as a fashion statement, Ford Motor Company has seven companies providing a rebellious yet artistic interpretation of this commonly practical car.

 

2012 Ford Focus by 3dCarbon

 

Producing styling accessories across many automotive brands including Chevrolet, Lexus and Volkswagen, 3dCarbon works some stylistic magic on the 2012 Ford Focus compact car ahead of the upcoming SEMA Show. The 2012 Ford Focus by 3D Carbon exterior appearance is credited to 3M satin wrap, Sticky Fingers red racing stripes along with the customizer’s own body kit and roof spoiler. With a ride regulated by Eibach springs, the 3dCarbon edition 2012 Ford Focus shiny red wheels wear Pirelli tires.

 

2012 Ford Focus by ROUSH Performance Products

 

Created by the street performance arm of Roush Industries, the 2012 Stage 3 Focus receives a considerable emphasis on performance. Roush Performance Products invests heavily in the customized Ford Focus highlighted by a R900 TVS supercharger connected to the 2-liter, four-cylinder engine. A high-flow induction system and a performance exhaust are also Roush Performance Product touches to improving the roar of the 2012 Focus. Coated in a matte Sherwin-Williams custom paint and wearing a Ford Genuine Accessories roof spoiler, a chin splitter, grille inserts as well as some mild side striping distinguishes the Focus by Roush Performance Products.

 

2012 Ford Focus by The ID Agency

 

Created by The ID Agency, a green 2012 Ford Focus is said to be inspired by the tuner crowds of Japan and European countries. Completing exterior and interior work on the 2012 Focus hatchback, The ID Agency features a Top Stitch interior accented by Recaro Sportster seats. Magnaflow cat-back exhaust and a set of Brembo big brakes boost the performance of the Ford Focus. Covered by a Wraptivo roof treatment, the 2012 Focus show car created by The ID Agency also features a Ford Custom Accessories sourced Thule bike rack with a customized bicycle.

 

2012 Ford Focus by Capaldi Racing

 

Positioned in many professional sports car series, Capaldi Racing has applied their on-track craft to a 2012 Ford Focus sedan in time for SEMA Show. Sporting a silver and orange colour scheme similar to their competition Ford Mustang, the Focus by Capaldi Racing employs components from several popular suppliers. Raiding the Ford Racing Performance Parts for a Torsen differential and sway bar, the Capaldi Racing Ford Focus sedan receives additional suspension improvements from AST Sport-line. A Green Filter air intake and Borla Cat-back exhaust allows the Focus’ four-cylinder engine to breathe easier for better performance. On the front, Capaldi Racing created a special front splitter accented at night by European Focus headlamps incorporated HID and LED lighting technology.

 

2012 Ford Focus by Steeda

 

Steeda has garnered a strong reputation with accessorizing the Ford Mustang. In their SEMA show car version of the new Ford Focus, Steeda has created a red and black piece designed by road as well as the track. A creation built on HRE P43S Monoblok 19-inch wheels and Nitto NT05 tires, the exterior of the 2012 Focus hatchback’s G-Track front end brace is married with a 3dCarbon body kit. Providing suspension modifications to the 2012 Focus design, Steeda showcases a rear sway bar and lowering kit. Additional performance is gained on this Ford Focus through a cold-air intake incorporating Steeda’s Cool Tube Technology.

 

2012 Ford Focus by Bojix Design

 

Said to be inspired through European influences, the 2012 Ford Focus by Bojix Design merges a low-riding presence with sophistication. Featuring an exterior that integrates a body kit from Bojix Design along with a 3DCarbon roof spoiler, the H&R Sport Springs lowering kit gives the compact car a sleek overall appearance. The Bojix Design built 2012 Ford Focus’ 20-inch Rennen M10 wheels cover the AP Racing big brakes and rear cross-drilled rotors. Presenting an interior décor Katzkin leather and Alcantara material, the Bojix Design Ford Focus is also equipped with a stylish as well as functional Accele rearview mirror.

 

2012 Ford Focus by COBB Tuning

 

Having specialized with only non-American badged vehicles, COBB Tuning experience with Japanese and some European associated vehicles have gone into the radical racing-themed Focus hatchback. The 2012 Ford Focus by COBB Tuning pronounced rear wing and front splitter/air dam accents the two-tone paint scheme. Underneath the blue and black 2012 Ford Focus, the COBB Tuning mechanical touches both the engine as well as the chassis. A COBB Tuning turbocharger with intercooler awakens the four-cylinder powerplant that also has an air box and performance intake and exhaust manifold.     These designs are fabulous and I think they will really help the Focus. After comparing the Focus with similar cars, such as the Cruze and Nissan Sentra — I was very disappointed in the Focus. I used http://www.handsoncomparisons.com and the specs just didn’t measure up for me. The Cruze is a mere $200 more than the Focus and you get much more for your money.
