Aston Martin Announces Pricing for Rapide

Aston Martin Rapide

If you’ve been reading this blog for any time, you know we’re not huge fans of the four-door Aston Martin Rapide. Nevertheless, it does have its customers, so we need to cover it like any other car.

Due out early Q2 2010, the Rapide sedan will start at $199,950 in the States and feature a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 470 hp, just like the DB9. A six-speed Touchtronic gearbox will be standard; not sure if a manual will even be available. The V12 engine will propel the Rapide from zero to 60 mph in a respectable 5.1 seconds.

Somewhere around 2,000 Rapides will be built in the first year – you can contact your Aston Martin dealer now to put in your order.

About The Author

I founded Automoblog.net in May of 2006 to share my love of cars. My favorites include the Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT and Koenigsegg CCX, and I think the Ferrari 360 Spider is still one of the sexiest cars in existence. For “normal” cars, I like imports - Nissan, Audi, Subaru... I love my Pearl Yellow (don't judge) 1990 Nissan 300ZX TT and plan to get it to around 550 HP one day. I'm also an avid world traveler and love rock climbing.
