Edo Ferrari California Spider Gets 500hp

edo Ferrari California

The brand new Ferrari California has hardly had a chance to take a breath on Ferrari dealer’s lots, and German tuner Edo Competition has already taken one and given it the “edo treatment.”

The new California is Ferrari’s new entry-level car, if there is such a thing. The California’s front-mounted 4.3-liter V8 produces 460 horsepower - almost as much as its older brother, the F430.

Edo Competition took this car and added special 20- or 21-inch wheels with a variety of designs, and a lowered and sport-tuned suspension, custom tuned to each customer’s specifications. Edo can also re-tune the California’s ECU to produce 500hp, and along with a high-flow exhaust system (with adjustable butterfly valves,) is enough to propel the Edo Ferrari California from 0-62 mph in only 3.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 196 mph.
