Seems like most of the people I know watch the Superbowl not for the game, but for the commercials (we’re car guys, not football fans.) This year may have been a bit slow in terms of budgets, but there was no short of good commercials in Superbowl XLIII.
Budweiser had their usual share of funny ads, as did Pepsi, Doritos, GoDaddy, and Coke. But the automotive industry, despite their obvious problems recently, aired some commercials that are definitely worth mention. Hyundai was an official Superbowl sponsor this year, and aired a couple of ads for the amazing Genesis Coupe. Toyota aired a couple of ads for the new Venza, Audi aired their long-awaited ad for the supercharged A6, Bridgestone Tires aired a funny one, and Castrol showed an ad worth watching as well.
