Some people will always need an SUV, and a small crossover like this will be a perfect choice for them in a time where SUVs are rare. Audi also leads the market in the "Avant" or wagon-type cars, which is very popular in Europe, but never caught on in the States. I could see wagons becoming more popular here in the future, once people get over the "iffy" styling and start seeing them for their utility. I think it's good they're doing this.
