“No no no no NO NO NO NO!”

This is in car camera footage of Ricardo Patrese (the guy on the right) taking his wife (on the left) for a lap around Jerez in Spain.

The lap starts about 2 minutes or so in, and if you watch it all the way through, you realize that the Patrese’s don’t realize they’ve been being filmed.

In addition to the “No no no no NO NO NO NO!”, I could also translate many many instances of “BASTA!!!!” (i.e. enough) and a few other, er, choice comments from Ricardo’s better half on his driving skill.

It always amazed me when passengers would freak out in situations like this. I mean, how much better could it get? You’re in the hands of one of the most competent drivers in the world, and as I’ve always told them when I’ve been lucky enough to hitch rides around a track “Stand on it! I trust you.”
