They've dropped the hatchbacks, kept the ~10y/o platform and added a few new shiny bits (new skin and synch). It's still the top dog among "domestic" small cars - but that's like saying you beatup a 2 year old for their lollypop. For generic sedan: the Elantra has got the Focus' number. And you can get the Elantra in a snazzy wagon with great handling. I look forward to the current world platform being brought back across the pond and bringing this car back into competitiveness.
