Prices start at under $12,000 for a model with nothing in it and tops out at almost $19,000 for a convertible with leather, upgraded stereo and power everything.

Those numbers are right from the sticker. I only had the vehicle for a couple of hours since it's always out on a drive, so I couldn't gauge it enough to comment. But I am pretty sure you will achieve those numbers without trying hard.

Great article, I was wondering when somebody was gonna test this little thing.

I just saw the Smart car again a couple days ago, and I was struck (again) by how tiny the thing actually is.

I have a friend who is actually looking at getting one, so I'll have him take a look at your article. He can't decide between a cheaper Smart car or the expensive Aptera, when it comes out.

I also have a question: you got 44 mpg, and I think EPA estimates are around 40, but if your main concern is fuel efficiency, how many miles to the gallon are possible? Or did you not test for mpg?
