Fritz Henderson Frederick “Fritz” Henderson has been named the new President of General Motors. Prior to his new role, he was vice chairman and chief financial officer for the General … wait, wait, stop right there.

Another bean counter? Another guy, rising to the top of the board via the finance department.

How many finance guys have run Porsche?

How many finance guys have run Ferrari?

How many finance guys have run Mercedes, Honda, Jag or Lotus?

Where did the head of Toyota come from? Which department?

Well wherever he came from, I can see him saying this to GM for a long time to come:
