Ah Telstar Logistics, one of the coolest blog around, decided to look into what ever happened to The Partridge Family Bus.
You know, that rolling homage to Piet Mondrian … er, more likely a cross between The Monkeymobile, Furthur, and Piet Mondrian all squeezed through the marketing department via standards & practices circa late 1960s.
God knows that the converted school bus has been the chariot of choice for many a touring band, so it made sense to “cast” one in the TV sitcom.
The need to paint it like this, as well as cast Danny Bonnaduce is, well, puzzling to say the least. OK, not as puzzling as casting Bonnaduce, but how were the producers to know what was to befall him later in his “carreer” arc.
What became of the original? Who can say.
Will vehicles of this sort make comeback in some sort of contrived Lindsey Lohan TV show?
We can only hope not.
