Maybe this doesn't bother me as much as everyone else. Obviously there's no appropriate Pontiac to use for KITT, and GM in general no longer has any cars which feature that futuristic look like the Trans Am did at the time. They can't use the new Camaro; everyone associates it with the Transformers Movie.

I don't think the Mustang is too bad actually, it's aggressive, and even though it's a retro design it does look modern.

You know what would be an even better car? The Koenigsegg CCX. Don't think so? Check it out: http://photos.commongate.com/10/17565_j198c25hzk_...

I'm really disappointed with the fact KITT is being brought back as a mustang. The show will more than likely tank just because of this fact. Don't get me wrong, the mustang is a good car...but KITT it is not. The mustang has it's place in show business, such as Gone in 60 seconds and other fine movies. I would have much rather seen a revamped 2002 Trans Am or even the new Camaro. Mustang doesn't say Knight Rider.

Hey, I'm not hassling the Hoff (any more than he's hassled me), and besides, if I wanted to, I'd mention that whole drunken cheeseburger incident.

Indeed Shaun, Hollywood (and TV, which is really just Hollywood lite) is plumbing the depths of its back catalog for content. I think a lot of the reason for going with a Mustang based K.I.T.T. is that Pontiac is no longer making the Trans Am.

I never even knew they were re-making night rider!

I quite like the look of the new car, if they're updating the series then why not have a more modern car.
