Acura to Rival Bentley, Maybach

Acura Advanced Sports Car Concept

“We want to rival Bentley and Maybach in performance and design,” says Dave Marek, chief designer for Honda R&D Americas. We wonder if this has something to do with the recent delay of Acura’s NSX replacement, which was last know to be the Advanced Sports Car Concept. Acura has been tooling around with designs for the new NSX, including my favorite, the HSC:

The NSX replacement will have either a V8 or V10 engine, according to previous speculation, but with this recent announcement there’s no telling what Acura has up their sleeve. They would have to seriously upgrade this next NSX to compete with Bentley or Maybach, or perhaps they’re decreasing the specs to leave room for an all-new, high-end model.

Either way, it’s going to be exciting to see what Acura is up to over the next few months.

Acura will need tons of help if it even thinks about competing with Maybach and Bentley. I hope Acura does because there are only 3 good ultra luxury companies bentley, rolls royce and maybach so if Acura can power to them.
