Infiniti G37 Interior Comparison

We already saw how Infiniti changed the G37 drastically from the Coupe Concept displayed last year, but we didn’t get a very good look at the interior. Not only is the interior missing the “pizazz” that the concept had, I think it’s downright lackluster. Take a look at the comparison:

I understand when companies have to change designs because it was only “proof of concept,” but usually those designs are extreme. The interior on the Coupe Concept was not extreme or even very much more expensive to manufacture. Why they reverted to using the G35 Sedan’s interior I’ll never know, but I certainly would have paid extra to have a really cool interior like the Concept.

You said it all ! I was so excited about the interior of the concept. I went to the Auto Show here in NY this week just to get a real life look at my next Infiniti purchase and was so let down. Even if they couldn’t keep the concept design, at least make an attempt to separate the interior from the nearly mundane sedan. It’s a killer under the hood but there are too many choices out there to settle. Too bad.

I imagine I feel like most people who were revved up, no pun intended, for the beautiful G37 Coupe interior based on the concept. I am amazed the car they brought to market is that upsetting on the inside. I once had plans to test drive and possibly buy one. I think a GREAT alternative will be the all new Volkswagen Passat CC 4Door Coupe.

While the interior may not be a eye-popping and fancy as the concept, the G37 interior is still leaps and bounds above the older model’s. There is a huge increase in quality materials, looks and functionality.

Wow, now that you’ve the pics side by side on the same angle, I’m actually very impress on how closed the concept is the actual production. The only reason why its “lackluster” is the color of the interior; that’s it! The design is 90% the same, just has different color the more angle center console and without the “neon” tachometer. Btw the concept doesn’t have speakers, would the design would not allow quality speakers.
