Video: Racing for Pink Slips

Have any of you seen this show on SpeedTV called PINKS? I’m sure most of you are familiar with the concept; it’s a drag race, and whoever wins gets the title to the loser’s car. PINKS showcases this, pitting two drivers against each other, and running a “two of of three” race. The nice thing about the show is that you don’t have the whole “in your face,” Fast and the Furious attitude that makes me hate this type of racing.

The show is running an all day marathon on November 23rd, followed by a premier of PINKS All Out. Go to the PINKS website for show schedule, information, Drag Racing Clips, pictures, etc. Check out the video below for a preview:

Have any of you ever done this? Personally, I wouldn’t be too comfortable risking the title to my baby just to try to prove something. I don’t care how much confidence I have in my car’s power and my driving ability, it’s pretty obvious that the other guy is pretty damn sure he will win the race, otherwise he wouldn’t be there. There could very well be a reason for this. For all I know, that dude’s car could have anything in it. That’s the problem with modifications, all you see is the outside. He could have a Honda Civic, but if he threw enough money into it, you don’t know how fast it is.
