Lamborghini Not Going Retro

2007 Lamborghini Miura Concept

According to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, they will not be building the Miura concept which was unveiled in January at the Detroit Auto Show, or any other retro-based models, even in limited-production.

“Retro design is not what we are here for. So we won’t do the Miura, even as a limited edition,” Mr. Winkelmann told the U.K.’s Car magazine. This is probably a good decision, as now only the American automakers have to resort to retro models. Many people consider new cars with retro designs to be left to the companies that are not creative enough to make decent designs anymore. Lamborghini is certainly not one of them.

that’s a damn shame. hopefully, someone will make a kitcar so I can
transform an old Fiero into a Miura clone. Yeah, I can’t even say it with a straight face. Damn you, Lambo. Damn you.

Well hopefully no one ever does make a kit car for a “Miura”. If anyone took a Fiero and made it look remotely similar to any Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, etc should be lit on fire! If you actually want one of these cars so badly own up and buy one, instead of degrading the images of these awesome cars.
