I love the new face lift, I think it makes the car a bit more classy looking and will allow me to drive it for a few years without it looking dated. To be honest the chassis although the same seems stiffer and the steering is a bit more tighter then both the 97 and 03 versions. I've been a Tiburon follower ever since its inception in 97 and I love the line, it's always been a trouble free comfortable and sporty vehicle which always gets me a lot of attention. The new much anticipated rear drive Tiburon with plenty of power is set to come out in late 09 I believe. I'll probably get that version in it's 2012 model year.

I have owned the 97 Tiburon; the 03 Tiburon; and I just recently brought the 07 Tiburon. Is there a new rear-wheel drive coming out for 2008 or NOT? I'm trying to find out before I buy a 2007. I've been on several websites, some make it sound like it won't be revised until 2010, but my dealer says it's coming out for 2008.

I'm totally confused. Now I have never heard about this, but one thing I know for sure is that Hyundai doesn't tell anybody anything, esepecially in the US. There are VP's that don't know anything before the public. My point is that it's highly unlikely that you have some kind of inside connection unless you're asian. The other thing, please correct those HP values. Its 138 and 172. Look it up becuase I know more about this car than probably anybody reading this.

giovanni my dad works for the company too. I have a 2004, and this redesign is just wickedly horrible. Its so bad, that I usually DON'T post in blogs like this, but here I am. Definitely will NOT buy a newer one. Hyundai looks to be catering to the youngyoungyoung crowd. Whats with the front end, tail lights, and wheels?

Wow, looks like a$$. It manages a strong presences, apppearing as sexy with substance minus too much unecesarry bling. This facelift for the 2008 model not worth of the origianl execution. The front end snout/air intake is far too narrow and results in a generic look common to many cookie cutter cars. Sad, and disappointing. The BMWesqe front fender detail with inbuilt turn signal is overkill and unoriginal in the extreme. I believe that what constitutes an original car of character and depth, is the evolution of its basic design aesthetic, this results in its essence and soul. Great designs evolve purposefully and with grace, not like a bull roaring through a china shop. To create the 2nd generation Tiburon/Tuscani/Coupe (sort out the name thing too - a Porsche 944 is the same world wide, it's identity is clear), Hyundai pinched certain key elements from a number of presitgious sports cars and blended them beautifully into their own original. The Hyundai will go down in history as a major turning point for the company and its own evolution from being a maker of cheap cars lacking depth or character, to cars of quality, design and engineering excellence. All of which they have already shown to be achievable in a value package.

The 2nd generation, 2003 – 2006, Tiburuon/Tiburon/Coupe is a fully integrated design worthy of admiration and accolades.
