Hi guys, I own a hyundai Tibby 2.7 v6 and agree that it needs a bit more grunt going through 1st, 2nd to 3rd….I would like to purchase either a bolt on turbo kit or fit a supercharger….can you guys refer me to a website that I can purchase from….

Duane, congrats on the car. I’m not a fan of debadging cars, but to each his own. If you want to increase your power, you’ll have to spend some money. You’ll probably want to first get a new intake, or at the very least a high-flow filter, which shouldn’t cost more than $40 or $50 for a K&N.

I just bought a a tribby v6 gt 2007, awesome lookin car inside of it is sporty an it has a infinty sound system, I'm planning to take of the amblems maybe make into a sleeper, my question the car it self is cool but I need more hourse power, I've never really been big in cars, but the car has tons of pontental and would like to have it for awhile, what should I do about in it? In take an new exhaust system stuff like but what else without spending tons tons of money,like minor things what can I do

Also, a bored throttle body will increase power, but it shouldn't be the first thing you do. There are more efficient and cost-effective ways of increasing power first.

p.p.s. A Hyundai mechanic told me that an enlarged (bored) throttle body will boost hp and torque like crazy and will not void warranty (as he said: "how would they know unless they pull it apart and measure it?").

I'd like to have a go with the new supercharged tib if its real. I want to see how it runs vs. a near stock Z (intake). Should be interesting especially given the same price range.

I've got a 2006 tib gt, and love it had a mustang gt and hated it. I do wish it had more hp, but with a few mods, like above, supercharger, cold air, exhaust, new injectors, etc… this will eat stock vets, possibly even some of the other hot asses out there with their overpriced cars.

frap i agree with you the 2009 WILL KICK THE SHIT OUT OF A MUSTANG. and Makoim on eperson that will race or drive a tib. people that say that the tib is too weak it will kick their asses in acceleration oooooohhhhh yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Tibbys rock

look you guys can talk all the shit you want…that weak engine somehow pulls the shit out of that car…i got a 2007 Tib SE and i have been walkin asses in it…i am about to get a cold air intake and a SuperCharger…the thing about this car is minor modifications dramatically increase the cars performance…i seen a guy with a Tib SE get his shit up to 626 HP so dont go talking shit about the tibby's and put your money up and mod it…you're going to have to mod any car to be competitive anyway…i know people that will only race in Tibs

The 2.0 puts out a surprising amount of git-up-and-go for such a small engine. I was quite impressed on my test drive. It is the perfect car for her. I, however, would purchase the 2.7 for myself.

I just purchased the 2007 Tiburon 2.0 litre for my wife. She is not into power or speed, just looks. I also think the car looks great, it has great lines and I love the spoiler and front and rear lights. The interior is very sporty, especially the seats. What a good buy for $18,500.
