[...] Last time I stopped by Fox Valley Motor Cars in Chicago, a salesman there told me that there was little chance of Lamborghini actually producing the new limited edition Miura Concept. I agreed, but apparently they are giving it a second thought. They haven’t said one way or the other, but if it does make it into production, it will be a limited production with only 300-400 built. It would most likely be AWD, and be powered by an engine based on the Murcielago LP640 (6.5 liter V12,) but producing closer to 700 horsepower. It could possibly appear as early as Q1 2007, and would most likely cost around $300,000, making it a top-of-the-range model; kind of strange for a remake. No matter what you think about the retro-remake models of today, the Miura was groundbreaking in design and would look excellent as a new model on the street. However, claims of lamborghini making this their flagship model disturb me a bit, I think that should be left up to the Murcielago. [...]
