As if the 350Z’s weren’t cool enough, Nissan decided to make two more of them, plus a new Murano GT. Nissan is using Europe’s Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 7-9 to show off the new vehicles.
First on the list is the 350Z GT-S concept, which has significant performance upgrades (380 hp via supercharger,) suspension and brake upgrades, and a full body kit. They also have a GT500 350Z which may look familiar to owners of Gran Turismo 4 on Playstation 2. Keep in mind though, before you pick up the 350Z GT-S, that there are rumors of a larger displacement Z peeking around the corners. Specifically a V8 450Z that I’ve been hearing about recently.
Not too long ago I was looking around at my local Nissan dealer while my 300ZX was being serviced. I was looking for a new “everyday” car, as my car at the time was about to blow up (an Olds Cutlass.) I was really interested in the new Maximas, so I took a drive in one, and loved it. For some reason though, I couldn’t stop looking at the Burnt Orange Murano sitting across the lot. So I went ahead and took a look at it too, and to my surprise it did not feel as much like an SUV as I expected. I could use the extra room, and I loved the power, handling and the Continuously Variable Transmission. I took my Z home thinking about the Murano, and how cool it would be to have. For certain reasons though (mainly cost,) I’ve been waiting. In the meantime my Oldsmobile broke down, and I picked up an older Maxima but still have the Murano in my head. This might be the upgrade I’ve been waiting for, and tip me over the fence into buying one:

The Nissan Murano GT-C. On the exterior, all lights have been tinted for the new Kuro Black paint, and the standard old 18″ alloy wheels have been changed for a new 22″ five-spoke design, which I’m sure will look great on it. Even more exciting are the upgrades done under the hood. They threw in a turbocharger giving the Murano GT-C an awesome 350 hp. They also upgraded the suspension to keep the extra power in check, and are keeping the All-Mode 4×4 system. Hopefully this doesn’t make it into production. I might just have to buy it.
